So it’s just plain cool that you even post these dance tutorials for us in the first place. For free.... I think we all really appreciate that. But for beginners such as myself I think it’s easier when you’re facing the mirror. Especially cuz that’s what I’m used to in the local classes I take. We appreciate all that you do bro!

Really? I'm a beginner and I just get waaaay confused with the mirror. I personally hate watching tutorials with the mirror, because it makes me feel kinda confused and doesn't help me get coordinated, but that's me hahaha anyways, lovely tutorial ♥️
I personally love this mirror effect instead of shooting literally behind a mirror. Its way easier for me to follow.

You don’t need music to learn because you can just do it with the counts and then when you play the music the counts should already help you be on the right beats of the music.

Wow! AMAZING tutorial! As someone who dances, lifts weights, and tries to fit 11 hours of yoga into my week for body awareness, I just wanted to say, this is awesome! Dance for me is all about expression, and learning to become aware of exactly what parts of the body need to move when to express what you want to. I love how you mirrored it, and I especially love how you focused in on common mistakes, bringing awareness to how not to make them. (Like how you explained hip hop posture, what most people do, why they do it, and teach how not to, wow!) I love your energy and enthusiasm, and how instead of counting beats, you go right AND right (I forget which is my left and right when moving quickly!) I just wanted to take a moment to say that you're an amazing teacher, instant subscribe! Thanks for the tutorials! Hope to see more from you!

I prefer the tutorials being filmed in the mirror! It really helps me to feel more like a student in the class and be able to mirror the steps from the correct perspective.

Hello Matt from Tulsa Oklahoma, first I would like to say thank you for making this video. You are a GREAT teacher I am a 44 year old wife, mother, grandmother, who mostly step and swing dances ,due to a nerve disease that is painful and I came across your video trying to find a good workout video , that would help me move through my pain but also lose some weight so I decided to try it. I was really sore for the first 2 days but i kept going now I've been doing the entire tutorial video 2 times a day 3 times each because let's face it I'm not the most coordinated person, lol plus I find things I missed or did wrong, but I also do the entire dance video with each group at least 2 times in the morning and 2 times at night to just try it up paced with the music, now it's fairly easy also it makes great cardio plus it has been fun to come out of my comfort zone of dance and so far in 1 week I've gone from a size 15 to a 13 !!!! Thank you again keep up the good work and I will be looking out for more of your videos.

Loved you facing the camera! I am a college professor and am blessed to teach future teachers (dance, science, health, PE...). While many dancers are used to an instructor facing the mirror, not them - my research (in hip hop and KRUMP) shows strong results from the opposite. You facing us allows eye contact, a clear view of what the movement looks like, and a genuine connection to students. Once students quickly learn to recieve instruction this way, they can more easily learn anything from a performance video etc. It's hard to change "what's always been done", but well worth it! Thank you for your fantastic choreography! I use it regularly in my hip hop classes. At the age of 53, it's nice to get some fresh ideas for choreo and my students love that they can go to your tutorials if they need more help after class. Keep up the fabulous work!

I'm trying really hard to learn it but everytime he teaches a new move I start getting mad because I can't seem to follow or I do the move wrong. Tbh I don't know dancers do it I'm already frustrated but I'm going to keep trying no matter how bad I wanna throw my phone on the floor

Don’t be to hard on yourself those people practice everyday and have done it a long time trust me after a lot of practice you will gain muscle memory and all those moves and a bunch others will come to you naturally don’t give up!!!!
