yes it's possible, the internal rhythm is running in VR GM-engine on channel 10 - you just have to load a different drumset to channel 10 (see VR midi implementation for the patch list / bank/program values). Thus said, this is temporary - the drumset cannot be saved to 'registrations'
Im trying to figure out how to delete only a single layer of a whole big loop I've been making.the only thing that sucks about the loop station is that you can't seem to delete single layers of your loop
I'm completely new to live-looping on keyboards, so I'm just curious: is there any way to "view" the multiple loops that are playing simultaneously, so you can turn off / on certain riffs as they're playing? I can see the addition of beats / bass / rhythms being built on one another, but what level of live access does one have to each of the individual loops? For instance, could I have a percussion track, bass track, and chord comps track playing simultaneously and then could I pause the bass and chords for a measure or two while the percussion continues and then reactivate the bass+chords?
Is there a way to play back my saved loop as loop? I use the looper feature to create drum loop to jam along with, I am so surprise that VR09 wont let me playback my saved loop or any short wave/mp3/SMF file as a loop!
Page 27 of the manual under "Loading an Audio File for Playback or Recording" gives step-by-step instructions on how to do this. I am so surprised you didn't look in the owners manual! 😁
I don't think those Roland keyboards match with today's music. They are even not the old music culture :/ or you should change all the demonstration videos with inspiring ones.
It's been 9 years.. maybe tone wheel organs are back in fashion? All joking aside, tone wheel organs are timeless.. if you want something more synthy then definitely pick something else, but if you don't mind using an external interface device (iphone/ipad/pc/mac) you can menu dive on this and get any synth sounds you want from what I can see. You'll have problems getting there from the front panel controls only but given the reasonable price and the fact that this is aimed at tone-wheel market..... they're not really targeting this product to 'Today's Music"... whatever that is.
This guy's great and by far fav demo professional Roland has had. There was another video he did on looping a little more in dept- allowing you to practice to your loops or erase layers that didn't work. Anyone know where that video is or what happened to this guy? @rolandmedia
oh that audio loop tho 😯
Just bought a used vr09. I guess there is not a way too change the drum sound of the rhythms?
