I've recently bought the very same knife (same black & white handle). I love it. My previous knife was "good", or so I thought. But this new Mercer knife glides through the bread, with no tugging, no tearing, etc. Thanks for your review!
It's an awesome knife,. Unfortunately Mercer has nearly doubled the price since I reviewed it. I still would buy it again at the new price though... it's that good.
My original knife finally was replaced since it lost its sharpness. It had a good life and I replaced it with the same thing. Can't beat it for the price.
That’s a good question. All knives will eventually need to be sharpened and a serrated knife is way more difficult to sharpen than a normal straight edge knife. I have not had my knife sharpened yet but it is getting to the point where I’ll either replace it or pay to have it professionally sharpened. Since the cost of this knife is so reasonable it is quite likely I will just purchase a new knife rather than pay to have it sharpened.
@@michaelerbreviews does it have less teeth? It is so hard to compare things online all the time. You know, wrong pictures, inaccurate descriptions.....etc....
Thanks. This knife has gone through a lot of crusty boules and it has lost a bit of sharpness but it's still emminently useable. When it finally dulls itself to death, I'll buy another, You just can't beat it for the price.

It’s such a good value. I use it for so much more than just bread too... tomatoes, onions , slicing steak, etc.
The ease with which you cut the bottom of the bread sold it for me.

Great review. Awesome looking bread. Cheers ✌️
Thanks. Appreciate it.
@@michaelerbreviews My wife makes these big artisan breads with thick crust. Think it would work well with those too?
@@lesschwartz832 Most definitely. That's where it excels
Nice looking loaves!
Thanks.
Hi. Shouts from NZ! Is this knife still hot in 2024?
It's not hot, it's damn hot. Yes I just ordered another and still highly recommend it.
This knife slices through bread like a Mercer through bread

Do you have to sharpen this knife and if so how do you do it?

What is the difference between the Mercer 10" M23210 and the 10" M23880?
I believe the M23880 has a pronounced curve to the blade

Love the enthusiasm haha, I’d be excited too. Has the knife stayed pretty sharp? Nice looking loaves, BTW!

@@michaelerbreviews Totally! Thanks for letting me know. I’ll have to drop an order for one.
