lov_lymj I think it’s just the part they had to play especially since he was older and didn’t really know how to console an individual but the fact that she brought out every emotion in him spoke volumes. They were like Ying and yang to each other.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I thought they had one of the best chemistry I’ve seen in a long time on a kdrama. The scene where Yiseo cries while she touches his scars brought tears to my eyes. Sure they didn’t have a lot of kissing scenes or skinship but every moment with them together was magical & beautiful. Not to mention the fact that Saeroyi got on his knees for her shows you how much he loved her. I’m going to miss this couple deeply.

The writers did a really good job with the two characters's relationship developpement and the two actor are very cute together to be honest
I agree. I loved how the writers developed their relationship rather than what we are used in Kdramas that feels just too rushed. With Yi Seo and Saeroyi everything takes its time building up bit by bit, slowly to end up in the best of climax ever

Simple, the haters from So Ah team. In webtoon actually Soo-ah is just a friend and nothing more (plus they drag ep 1-2 too long for Soo ah and PSR story and they expect them to be together). Almost haters were all one sided. They take it personally base on the appearance of the main lead. Well, it's true that kwon nara is pretty no doubt and she's good too but after all it's all about Yi-seo character, it makes the drama more interesting. I'm glad Kim Da Mi take this roles, the way she portraying her character
she suited a lot with Yi-seo’s character (probably the only one who perfect for this character)
i having watched many K-drama since 2009, and i finally found a unique character. Her character development is phenomenal. The way Yi Seo showed and proved her love for Sae-ro-yi as a female lead is completely different to all other female-leads in dramas who are rather the ones usually receiving from the Male-lead. Yi seo’s unyielding and strong personality is a breath of fresh air for Saeyori, She showed what loving a person actually is. Yi-Seo’s character was refreshing and she stood out on her own, she didn’t need Saeyori to carry her so it’s not surprising how Yi-seo won Saeyori over. On this plot though Soo-ah is the poor choice and Saeroyi chose correctly.
I agree with you, i love kim dami too ( yiseo ) her acting really cool, it's loving without limit, if work out 'perfect' if doesn't work, no regret in the end. you did so well 🧡
Finally someone said it right!!! That is the reason why this was Better for me than crash landing you and kingdom. Many scenes are almost unpredictable, even the love story.. Realistic!!
Plus the fact that Soo Ah keep saying that she wants a rich man. Unlike Yiseo, she makes effort to make Saeroyi a rich and helped him to achieve his dreams. There’s a difference between the two and I guess Saeroyi had a great choice.

You can tell how deeply Sae Ro Yi cared for her. in the way he hugged her and looked at her like he was scared to lose her...she was his world even if he didn't know it.
I appreciate how Dami's character complimented Seo Joon's character. To be honest I didnt see the drama as a romance sort of thing but more on Saeroyi and his battle in life and against Janga.
I hope people get to see it as how it should be seen because its an awakening drama... In such a way you'll be happy for him to finally experience happiness in the end...

That's so true! Itaewon Class was loaded of life lessons and inspiration. I felt a lot of emotion watching it, a major reason it's hard to forget. Even as an audience we were with Saeroyi's journey of overcoming his life's battle. It's so meaningfuĺ. Seojoon and Dami's chemistry is a bonus. 🍑🍏💙💜

I was looking more at the story.. sorry for disagreeing on that part...and im pretty sure ill be bashed by angry fans for my opinion they dont have the romantic chemistry. We all differ i hope you respect mine. But the story and character yes. They did well

This drama shed a light on racism in South Korean just like in America and other countries,the color of your skin ,age ,education,and how small businesses suffered because of class power ,greed.when it comes to Senior's I don't mind being respectful but not all seniors deserved my respect .The age thing is so old school and outdated ,not everyone is college material we cannot all be Lawyers and Judges ,Doctors Engineers,we need Maintenance workers, Housekeepers trash man ,salespeople, especially for the "Chaebol" of the world.My thanks to the writers and cast production team and Netflix 👏👏🏾👏🏻👏🏿⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌍🌏🌎
You don't need to use Korean words like chaebol when speaking in reference to the entire world. You should just use your native words.
Kim Da Mi has done such a great job with this and with The Witch that I hope she can keep this up with her next drama. She's phenomenal.

This drama felt like such a burst of fresh air, you know. It had such an inclusive cast and an unique female-lead who's not all 'Miss goody-two-shoes'. There were many moments when Yi-Seo's character represented General society. Meaning society is not always just and kind.
I loved it when they introduced Toni and he couldn't speak english. Yi-Seo acted as how Korean society would; she didn't know the difference between Nationality and ethnicity.
Hats off to the talented actors, man. Park Seojin, Gosh. He's such a good actor I could see the emotion in hid EYES. I don't care if that sounds corny or whatever.

I knew this was an excellent series the first time I watched it, but until I started watching it again I didn't realize what an amazing series it is. It has so many magical moments, and Kim Da Mi is just wonderful in it. It's so much more real and profound than, for example, Crash Landing on You. Anyone who hasn't watched it is in for a real treat, and anyone who's watched it once should give it a couple of months, then watch it again because you'll appreciate it even more the second time.

Am I the only one who thinks that Park seo joon’s character Saeroyi started having feelings for Dami’s character Yiseo from early on the drama. I felt as if Saeroyi used Nara’s character Sooah, to conceal his true feelings for Yiseo!! Towards the end of drama, Saeroyi confesses to Geunsoo that he didn’t pursue Yiseo because he knew that Geunsoo really liked her and as a older brother he felt bad for having feelings for her.
Itaewon Class was beautifully done. I just loved how it ended. The story, the characters, the diversity, the revenge, the acceptance, the forgiveness, the success and the love. I’m so glad Saeroyi succeeded, it was inspiring. I’m also glad he chose Yi-seo over Soo ah. Yi-seo deserved Saeroyi’s love more. This is my favourite kdrama and it really resonates with me. I never knew I could love a show so much where it has me thinking about it a lot. I hope I’m able to find unconditional love one day. I really learned a lot from Saeroyi. Being honest with yourself is very important. This show is going to take me a while to get over it.

IMHO Kim Da Mi is the best new actress in k-drama. She was great in this and also in The Witch. For those who haven't seen Itaewon Class, one of the best scenes in k-drama is in episode 9 at 57:48 on Netflix. Kim Da Mi rocks!
