Dear Ashish - Pls file a complaint to local police with evidence. In the case where local police doesn’t take any step, you may pls go ahead and file complaint in the SDM/DM office. In case they also doesn’t take any step, you may file a writ in High Court for Mandamus.

Dear Viewer - The law clearly specifies that after 10 P.M to 6.00 A.M , the use of any kind of DJ or Loudspeaker for any purpose is strictly prohibited. In case of violation, complaint may be filed with Police Station and then SDM and DM of your area.
If the problem persists then Writ can be filed in the High Court under Article 226.

Dear Joshi Ji - This is really really unfortunate. We have been so many emails from regarding the same issue. In our country, sometimes law is not enforced because of religion. You along with some other society / neighbourhood people can visit SDM / DM of your area and submit the complaint or file writ in High Court under Article 226.

Dear Viewer - Generally the modification done on the Commercial vehicle to convert it into DJ is completely illegal. In rural areas it is done and no body says anything either because of ignorance or monthly system. We would request you not to take your vehicle outside the state as it may attract extra financial burden on you or May also lead to vehicle challans.

Dear Viewer - According to legal provisions, loudspeakers are not allowed after 10 P.M irrespective of any religious place. Unfortunately at some places in our society, the provisions are violated in light of faith and religion. But in metro cities where people are aware about their rights, music/loudspeakers are stopped after the allowed time.

@@LegalClinicByLalit Sir I called in police helpline no. & they came, stop them. I said to police plz request/warn temple authority to not use loudspeakers after 10pm but police replied plz come to police station with a written letter along with few society members to file a dairy regards all.

Dear Indian Memer - Pls do the following-
1. Call Police Helpline 112 and register your complaint. Police will reach out to you. Tell them what is happening in detail.
2 . If they don’t take any action, pls download any app for measuring Sound Volume (in Db) and make a video. Show the time in date and time in phone and db levels of sound. Send the video on twitter tagging SP, DSP and other local area police officer.
3. Believe me, it will not happen again.

लाउड स्पीकर मामले में पोलिस का मिस इंटरप्रिटेशन यही रहता है की " रात्रि के 10 बजे तक तो अलाउड है" जो सर्वथा निराधार और गलत है। 10 बजे तक लाउड स्पीकर का उपयोग खुल्ले मैदान, रोड पर करने के लिए भी लिखित मंजूरी लेना आवश्यक है। Sec 5 (1) of Noise pollution Act यह प्रावधान अंतर्गत महत्तम समय सीमा रात्रि के 10 बजे तक परमिशन देने की है। किंतु काम न करने के उद्देश्य से याचिका कर्ता को गलत अर्थघटन करके भगाया जाता रहा है।

Dear Viewer - It is not practical to stop and restrict use of DJ permanently but yes restrictions and conditions can be imposed on the use. We already have guidelines issued by Honourable Supreme Court which are currently applicable throughout the country. Similar restrictions must be imposed/followed on Loudspeakers used for religious purpose.

Dear Viewer - Banning all DJs will not serve the purpose. Selective / Restricted use should be allowed. We do have clear guidelines and law but unfortunately implementation of law is not properly done due to corruption.

Dear Mitthu Ji - Your suggestion is good but it cannot be implemented practically for obvious reasons.
Keeping legal penal provision over loudspeakers and DJ has helped many people in Metro Cities but unfortunately it is yet to be properly implemented in Rural Areas.
