    Watch this video to learn how to get the most out of Midjourney's Style Reference parameter --sref. We go through a lot of examples, explore how Style Reference is different from Style Codes and from Image Prompting, and do a little bit of troubleshooting with sref.
    The Style Reference feature is powerful! If you were disappointed with not having the Style Tuner in v6, I'll show you some examples of how to get your favorite styles transferred over to v6 with Style Reference.

    Thank you so much Fern 🙏🏾 i love the v6 sref , but from discovering your style tuner guide for v5.2 I kinda prefer v5.2’s browser environment, because it’s a visual palette to make combinations that can include image references as well… but I’ll definitely be mixing between v.5.2 & v6 . Once again thank you making MJ’s under the hood stuff clear and practical.

      The v5 Style Tuner is a lot of fun! Some people still prefer it over the v6 approach. I've had great luck taking images I created with v5 Style Codes and then using them as Style References in v6. Works like a charm!

      @@woollyferncreative yes I love layering layers … MJs methods resampling and “ ai art “ is like Digital Impressionism. Maybe the developers will make graphic stem separation , just like Music has audio separation, where you reshuffle and re-blend elements in an image , relative to you separation focus , e.g. separation by primary focus object and tiers of depth of field… or separation, by hot and cold colours, object groups: people , inanimate objects, buildings, natural landscape vs industrial etc. ps I also like putting blurred images as image references and sref , it’s like gives the processing and unknown noise type (blurs) to be more creative with. Cheers 👾

      Blurred images as references is a fun idea! I'll have to try that out.

    New to the space of AI image generating and already one of, if not the best channel hands down. very quick and detailed, focusing on one part of the process at a time, well done.

    This was everything i wanted and needed to understand how the new feature worked, as i struggled using it with my particular methods of prompting i like. Now i see it's incompatible for what my purposes was. thank you very much for this video. best one i seen regarding style reference.

    I like your videos! Is there a way to stylize a photo using --sref. For example: --sref

    • @woollyferncreative
      @woollyferncreative  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! You can definitely use an Image Reference and a Style Reference in the same prompt, similar to how you've written,. But for it to run, you will either need to include an additional image reference or a text prompt. For example my text prompt --sref . However, you will not get back a copy of the Image Reference that has been stylized. The Image Reference is just a reference that Midjourney uses to influence the results. Hope that makes sense.

    Great video! Thank you for the advice. Just curious though since I'm new to the AI art space, is there any other generator comparable to Midjourney? I'm interested in trying different generators but don't know what would be worth paying for or what other free tools there are that others would recommend :)

    • @woollyferncreative
      @woollyferncreative  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! I'm biased, but Midjourney is my favorite 🙂. I think they offer the best visual aesthetics and subscription plans with the most value for your money. The two main other AI image generators are DALL-E and Stable Diffusion. There are A LOT of Stable Diffusion variants out there because it's open source.
