I've had exactly the same bike for about 8 months now and it's brilliant. It's also a fantastic road bike with my carbon, deep-section wheels and road tyres fitted. More comfortable than my Cannondale Synapse as well which is in itself is a comfortable endurance bike. One bike to rule them all! 👍👍👍

Good to see someone has pre-empted me.... I'm looking at a terra-C frameset to build as a go-anywhere bike.... general road riding with 50mm wheels and 28s, gravel and bridleways with 40c. What's it like in terms of fit. i.e. does it feel a bit shorter and upright like endurance/gravel bikes or is it a bit 'racey' feeling?
Great looking bike, great colour, and brown tyres, fantastic! As for the tyres they will be be fine, I ran a similar tyre on my gravel bike, in Poland gravel is nothing unusual, you cant get away from it, and a tyre with some knobs on is always welcome for all grades of gravel! Here we have a LOT of sand in the forests and fields and the occasional mud, and in the UK as you know rain is always seconds away, and you will welcome those those tyres in the rain!
I have the grx 800 and 18 months later, it still brings me so much joy, two wheelsets (1 solely road tyre & 1 mixed surface) and the bike can do it all. Top end speed is the only slight issue but it doesn't bother me and I just freewheel on the bigger desents. As for the tyres, they are great all year road, tubeless and lower pressure is the way to go 35-40 psi. Great video, enjoy your new bike 🙂
Thanks Darren, only had the bike a short time but I'm confident I'm going to have the same experience. Will drop those pressures down a bit and see how they run. Don't think it came set up as tubeless, that'll be my next job.
@@themuddycyclist tubeless makes a huge difference off road due to the lower tyre pressure, be careful going two low with tubes and you can get punctures. Like you I just gave it a go and never looked back. You just need rim tape, sealant and tubeless valves and away you go.
Loving the new bike mate, i keep meaning to get one for my fitness, plenty of canal paths near me, i also like to support local where possible, one of the reasons i choose orange, fairly local although it's not 3 miles haha, great video mate 👍

I found your channel because i have a Boardman! I had my mountain bike stolen and decided to go up the gravel bike route. The Boardman seems like a good budget option! Will you sell yours or keep it to ride occasionally? Of course you don't want to get your new bike dirty on its first ride! I certainly don't blame you! Happy riding Eric!
I ended buying the bike already build from a shop, so could have done a 'getting it out fo the car' video, but didn't think it would fly :). Not sure what to do with the Boardman, tempted to keep it as a spare or when the weather is bad, but have a mate interested so not sure yet.

As I’ve got all my bases covered with an Orro Terra C, a Pyro carbon road bike and a steel Street Fe, I won’t be changing bikes for a while. So you’re wallet is safe for a while

@@maariaan Believe it was a medium, probably could have done with it be a bit smaller but it was fine. Going to small was too big a jump.

No, still really like my Boardman, but had opportunity to get a better bike through the cycle to work scheme so went for it.
I have the older model.. upgrade the wheels and you have a top bike
