Chris did a nice job hosting - steering the conversation and making sure everyone was included. The Haunted Mansion lounge looks incredible but agree with John and Kevin that if small and only ~40 seats it's a potential source of frustration.
53:50 Norwegian Cruise Line has a new ship (Aqua) debuting and making its maiden voyage in March 2025. For comparison for Disney versus other cruise lines, this is how much more you’re paying to go on a new Disney ship versus a new Norwegian ship: Summer sailing on Disney Treasure for 2 adults and 2 children - $12,000 for a verandah June 21, 2025 7-night sailing on Norwegian Aqua for 2 adults and 2 children - $7,413.12 for a balcony stateroom (this is the most expensive June sailing) The Norwegian sailing includes an alcohol and drink package for the adults and 3 specialty dining dinners (equivalent to Palo) for adults, while they also have a non-alcoholic drink package for the kids. Disney does not include any type of specialty drinks or alcohol. You are paying $4,500+ for the Disney IP, not taking into consideration the drink package. Keep this mind when booking. While I love Disney and have sailed DCL before, I have also sailed NCL and love them, too. I would happily save the $4,500 and put it towards another trip.
Awesome Laura - have a great time! For me, I've done NCL -- and I feel like I got what I paid for. But is is amazing that there are so many different cruise lines out there -- each one is unique. And, of course, you can still book other cruise lines with Dreams Unlimited Travel - and you still will get a Dreams shipboard credit! AND... Norway is Amazing!
Now I'm depressed. I've been many times on Fantasy and on the Magic. I am booked for a Merrytime Cruise in November on the Treasure, mainly because I wanted a 7 day cruise leaving out of Port Canaveral. At first I was excited, but now it sounds like it will be hectic, noisy and the bars too crowded to enjoy. I wish I'd never booked now. I hate the idea of small, crowded bars and loud, noisy shows when trying to eat dinner. I don't want a hectic theme park experience while trying to relax on a cruise. What a bummer.
@@YenSid.Travel Thank you. I think I just need to adjust to the fact that this is a different sort of experience than the Disney ships I've been on before. I do think the Treasure is lovely decor-wise. I am looking forward to seeing what their concierge lounge is like and whether have a private sundeck for the concierge guests. Thank you for your encouraging reply.
59:13 I’m surprised no one mentioned that the Wish began sailing just about two years after the COVID pandemic began. There was still a shortage of workers and supply issues in 2021 and 2022 when the Wish was being built, which is what I suspect caused the delay for that ship in particular. Disney is not dealing with worker shortages and supply issues right now, so this shouldn’t be an issue for the Treasure to begin sailing as scheduled.
1:00:23 Nevermind, it got mentioned! But I do disagree with John, though. Disney was not immune from the pandemic. There was only so much Disney could do during the pandemic with worker shortages and supply issues. I think Disney likely was doing their absolute best to get the Wish going during that time.
Kevin and John have to stop showing their faces after their failure to act on Pete’s obvious transgressions. I don’t think they have to sell their company, but I think some distance could be a good thing!

I'm sorry that is the impression you got -- these ships are LOVELY! You will not have a problem finding a quiet place.

Is Kevin doing this video from the bathroom? 🤔

Has John lost weight? He’s looking great!

Is this what you’re concerned about?? Seems like trolling and not even seeing what the content is… move along
Must nice to a perfect person...well on second thought you sound like a real asshole.
@ yes, anytime I see them, I’m reminded of how they failed their employees and their audience
