    I'm Australian Cambodia, and I know quite a lot since my mum and dad is from there and now I feel condor table using it more than English so I hope they put more words as its old language

      I hope you learn to be very smart like Australian people, watch and learn everything they do like entrepreneur scientist biologist inventor politics technology chemists engineer business, learn the way they make products and build things, had lots of ideas never get stuck or give up able to solve all kinds of problems,they have very smart brains.Make your brain smart like them,but don't forget our khmers culture.

    I learn to read and write khmers from TH-cam,karoake music,my mom always speak khmer to me at home so speaking is not a problems,she also take me to the temple with her, learn khmer culture,tradition and history.

      thank you,if u look at the Chinese and Spanish people,they always speak their language to their children,why can't khmers people do the same thing.

      They do but I suppose it also depends on the environment, there is a lot of factors than can lead to different situations... You're lucky to be bilingual and to have dedicated parents!

    It's difficult for me to read & write in Khmer. I can read a little Khmer, but mostly the Khmer words that I can read are songs, movie titles & songs in Khmer music videos.

      smart guy20 - all of the youtube lessons that I’ve found aren’t very good. Some of the “teachers” aren’t very fluent in Khmer themselves.

      Same here but I know my roots and history.. To many Americans Cambodian embarrassed of our heritage, thinking other Amercans (non Cambodian) will laugh at us. I believed every Khmer Temple acrossed U.S should teaches our Khmer youth history and writting system..

      parents should speak khmer to their children,also to read and write and use khmers name.I learn to read and write from TH-cam and khmer karoake music.

    Khmer ancestor used to write from right to left, same system found at Nogkor Vat (Nagara Vat) not Angkor Vat. Mon Khmer used Samkirt and Pali and never mixed it but Westerner taught us otherwise.......

      If you want to have very super smart brain make friends with american and European people watch and learn everything they do like make all kinds of products to sell, create new foods and desserts, build electric tools,study plants and animals environment insects water fruit trees and vegetables.Always learn from singapore, Australia and S. Korea people, you will become very super smart.Also study entrepreneur and inventor for several years then open small businesses.

      Make friends with Americans and Japanese people, watch and learn everything they do like entrepreneur inventor scientist biologist chemists researcher engineer politics military economy technology,learn the way they make products to sell, create tools for easy work, create new food and desserts, read lots of books about science, biology,chemistry,plants and animals, world history, technology all great subjects.Copy all the smart thing they do, think like them.They have lots of ideas to create new products.They do explore research experiment and develop,they have curious and creative minds.

    we live in Baltimore, MD I wishes there is a khmer torturing in my area.. I don't mine paying at all.. I don't do a good job since my husband doesn't speaks any khmer.. and it's just me in this Country

      speaking khmer has never really been the issue, as i grew up with it, but a lot of the reading/writing videos that i’ve tried finding on youtube haven’t been much help :(
