Old Fashion Chocolate Pie -- Marie's Fast and Easy Delicious Recipe
Old Fashion Chocolate Pie
Ingredients:
9 inch pie crust
2 cups sugar
¾ cup all purpose flour
¾ cup cocoa
2 cups milk
5 egg yolks beaten
¼ cup butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pierce the pie crust with a fork and bake at 475 degrees
for 8 to 10 minutes, then let it cool
Mix sugar, flour and cocoa in a large saucepan
Add the milk and mix well
Cook over medium heat until hot
Add a small amount of hot milk mixture to the beaten egg
yolks and mix well
Add the egg yolks to the hot milk mixture
Simmer until thickened
Remove from the heat
Add the butter and the vanilla
Mix well
Put the pie filling into the crust
Refrigerate until set
Cut, serve and enjoy !!

My husband and I make homemade chocolate pies from scratch with the same ingredients you use, except the butter. I make a meringue topping and put it in the broiler to brown a little. Sure is good. Your pie looks delicious!
