The SVCh (SVK) was not designed by Kalashnikov Group and they had to rename it to SVCh to reflect the actual designer’s name, Andrey Yuryevich Chukavin
It was called SVK during it's prototype stage. I wanted point out the irony of the SVD beating the SVK then 50 years later, another gun by the same name uses the SVD magazines. It was also noted that it was officially credited to Kalashnikov Group during it's development.
Svd was the first modern dmr as we understand it. The high command meddling hurt it. By that I mean, constructor made the rifle to be accurate with match-grade ammo(used to ensure the best accuracy), yet high command wanted the rifle to be able to usr various specialized machine gun ammo(of which they had alot of, think tracer incendiary etc), and constructor had to change the rifling to accomodate that, resulting in poor accuracy with first mentioned ammo type(rifling imparted too much spin on the usual lighter bullet). Hopefully svch won't suffer from that. Speaking of, there also another prototype that got rejected for what became aks74u but is now adopted as am16/17(forgot which). Edit to add: it's officially undergoing trials as of late 2021, will it get adopted is anyone's guess.

Forgot to say, the gun in question was also done by dragunov as prototype ma(using polymers, which weren't yet up to snuff then, but are now).

Did you read anything in the middle of the video? "Despite its reliability, Kalashnikov's sniper rifle failed to meet the precision and accuracy requirements-" Who cares that _the other guy_ made their assault rifles? If your design sucks slightly more than the other, then too bad.
In future videos when talking about guns with both a detachable magazine and the ability to feed the gun with stripper clips, you should say Magazines AND Stripper clips. Because both are useable for the purpose of reloading the weapon.

It actually kind of is. the SVK (or SVCh, as it has been renamed) has multiple variants, one of which uses the same ammo as the Scar H
The same can be said for AM-17, AMB-17 and SCAR-SC.
