Great compilation of unarguably the greatest golf swing ever. Or so says Nicklaus, Woods, Weiskopf, Miller, Trevino, Rodriguez, Player and everybody that played with Hogan or analyzed his swing. GOAT.

Jwgppgolf is 100 percent correct that Ben Hogan had the greatest swing of all time. Hogan beyond question had "The greatest control of a golf ball I've ever seen." In the words of Gary Player . This is because Hogan understood the mechanics of the swing more than anyone who ever lived. He found "The Secret" in his own words. Even Jack Nicklaus said after Hogan's passing, "Golf has lost its greatest shotmaker." How great? Against his famed rival Sam Snead, Hogan at least twice hit every Fairway and every green. In a Shells Wonderful World of Golf Match. And the 1954 Masters playoff. Sound impressive? This stat blows the lid off that. In three consecutive tournament victories in 1940, Hogan missed two greens in 216 holes!! This remains the most shocking Golf stat I've ever heard. Ninety-nine percent of his greens in regulation!! Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods were as wild as a flock of turkeys by comparison. The miracle recovery shots that people marvel over tour players hitting Hogan never had to hit. He was almost never in trouble. Argue the greatest overall player. The greatest striker of the golf ball is a fraternity of one. BEN "THE GOAT" HOGAN.

Does not get any better, nor will it ever be surpassed, best ball striker ever, Trevino was 2nd best. Wished there was more footage to watch this artist at work. Did see Christie O'Connor win the British Seniors and it was a beautiful swing to watch

It was an uphill climb all the way for Ben. He persevered and overcame. Built one of the best swings ever...amazing golfer and an interesting life.

The perfect golf swing. Tiger Woods once said that only three golfers truly owned their swings - Ben Hogan, Moe Norman, and Lee Trevino, and that one day he hopes to own his own swing.

Earl taught him well. I’d love to see a documentary form discussion on this with T and some vet players. Ben perfected it and the game changed. Teachers took hold and the game progressed. The timeline of where we are now is nothing but amazing.

The thing aboutBen Hogan, is he is not feeling positions, only shifting his "dead body" onto the shaft in order to release it like a leaf spring, to and past impact!!!!

In a further comment, the reason why the greatest shotmakers owned their swing was they were the sole shareholder!! The only documented golf lesson Hogan ever took was from "The Chocolate Soldier," Masters champion Henry Picard. Picard convinced Hogan to weaken his grip with both hands. This eliminated "Public Enemy Number One" in Hogans' game. A terrible duck hook. Hogan perfected this to such a degree that he publicly declared that he had found "The Secret." Hogan has to be the only golfer in history that could make such an outlandish claim. Simply because he had!! There is no question that Ben Hogan had more knowledge of the golf swing than any human being that ever lived. More importantly, how to control the golf ball. The number one key to mastering the most unconquerable game ever invented.

    1953 swings the best!
Father McGuire (?) sequence the paradigm (5 minute mark)

Even the superb Lee Trevino joked about having to turn sideways to see the flag when Hogan struck the ball. "His golf ball covered it every time he hit it!! Trevino said, laughing. Hogan is the gold standard for all time as golfs preeminent striker of the ball. Argue the greatest over all player. To compare anyone to Hogan as a shotmaker is a waste of time. A finite resource squandered.
