Is This Love? (I'm Yours) | Dayeene Cover (LOSTWAVE)

It's finally time everyone, and it could not come at a better moment. This month within the #lostwave community multiple all time GOAT songs such as How Long Will It Take, Fond My Mind, and Kenya Dance have all been solved and their respective artists rescued from obscurity. And in this joyous environment I am happy to announce the lead single from Lostwave Vol. 1, Dayeene's "Is This Love" commonly known around lost media circles as "I'm Yours." I'm Yours was known for years as only a fragment of a super funky song that had been recorded off the radio in Scandinavia sometime in the 90s. And thankfully last year, it was finally revealed that Jeanette and Diana Söderholm along with Denniz pop (of Britney Spears & Backstreet boys fame) were the geniuses behind the song. I believe that this song is a banger that should've never been lost to time, and my intention is shine a light on Dayeene and rescue true talent from obscurity (as I intend to do with all songs/artists on this album). Please enjoy the debut single from "LostWave Vol. 1" and look out for the full record to drop sometime early in the New Year. I LOVE this cover! I especially loved the guitar solo. One critique: I don’t think the echoing vocals work that well, and I would’ve preferred it if you sang the “Is this Love” vocals in your own voice.
