"Life is short, It’s the longest thing you’ll ever do The worst of the curse, was that your dreams came true God is a mirror in which each man sees himself Hell is a place where you don’t need any help When I first met you, your face was like snow What about wherever you wanted to go Your face, your grace, your lipstick trace Your case as you put it down 8:17 on the ground Your faith in a clown Don’t leave me now Don’t leave me now Alone in the song Don’t leave me now Alone in the song"
“Life is short but it's the longest thing you'll ever do The worst, the curse, is that your dreams came true God is a mirror in which each man sees himself, Hell is a place where you don’t need any help...” Soooo impeccably accurate...
Egde totally killed this song. He is so amazing. The beauty and simplicity of the solo is incredible. The piano interlude is also very beautiful. His vocals are crazy. This guy should be considered one of the best musicians of history.
I was there and the mix techs really brought his voice along perfectly thru the set list. A ridiculously humble dude about the beautiful tonality of his voice
Every U2 song touches my heart differently every time I hear it; each as if it were for the first time. This was an amazing concert! Anaheim - also, yet again... a completely different vibe. U2's music has been a huge part of my life all through out my life. God bless!
it seems like today the only music that gets played that is spiritual is gospel music. Even most gospel music i have listened to can't get as real as this does.
I hear all these shallow songs on the radio and I don't trash them, but I can't feel them. U2 came on while I was at work and I had this rush to run. We all feel these emotions inside, we all can resonate. So why do we keep releasing songs about sex, parties, and drinking? I know you feel what I feel because I am what you are and you are me.
Some people say No Line On The Horizon is the U2's worst album ever... I would like to ask some of the best bands in the world to have a BEST album like this.
Innocence is a great album. Way better than No Line. The first half isn't that impressive, but the second is incredible. Sleep Like A Baby Tonight is arguably their best song in the past ten or fifteen years and The Troubles is right up there.
+WookieeWarrior Problem : mgr! He released three albums under the same name at the same time. U2 cannot afford mgr who also takes cares of other aaaa.... "Artists " ( One Direction and Madonna - need I say more?) the only real album is I&E DELUXE VERSION, with full acoustic part, two fantastic songs " Lucifer's Hand" and " Crystal Ballroom " At this point you don't treat u2 as a "band" or a "singer" (Bono, although Larry sings, it's fantastic, he gets so into it, God bless Him). Probably one of their best albums ever. Like I've mentioned, you don't treat the greatest band in the recording history, like you treat Madonna and OD. You treat them with RESPECT ( Ask Aretha, she knows something about it). So, the sooner we get rid of the current mgr, the better for every one's sake. Again, I&E album is awesome, but you have to get THE DELUXE VERSION. As long as we're on the topic, getting rid of Live Nation, and everyone who wants to earn buck on Our Lads sake , it's not a bad idea. Peace.
WookieeWarrior No Line On The Horizon is one of their best albums, without any doubt. Fantastic. Moment of Surrender, No Line On the Horizon, Unknown Caller, Breathe, Magnificent, Fez, White as snow, all of these are amazing! I like Songs of Innocence too, but No Line On the Horizon is so better, there’s no comparison, I can say it because I’ve listened to Songs of Innocence thousands of times.
Did anyone notice that a Verse was missed out... We set ourselves on fire Oh God, do not deny her Its not if I believe in love (But) If love believes in me Oh believe in me
THE END OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CONCERT FROM 2000 TO 2010, THE BEST TOUR IN THE HISTORY, THANKS U2 FOR STILL GIVING US BEATIFUL MUSIC, BEST LIVE BAND IN THE WORLD AND ONE OF THE 10 BEST BANDS IN HISTORY, FROM MEXICO TO THE WORLD U2 FOREVER
This song is amazing. Especcially in live. I love U2. I really love this guys. There is the band with heart beat. No plastic music. Its realy emotion. Tears.....
This performance was significant to me, who had been in a psychopathic torture chamber for ten, or about ten, or fifteen years and who bought a single ticket to reconnect with humanity at the Rosebowl, where my grandparents used to live about s. The performance here is NOT identical to the original one, which was sublime in all respects, including Bono’s singing. That’s my distinct recollection. It is my considered judgment and I assert it as fact. I was in attendance, and was surprised to hear Bono make reference to U2’s performances as “a mass” in the performance. I had just mentioned to another individual that U2’s performances were a “folk mass”, a major compliment to the ensemble as going beyond standard rock performance fare. I had never heard this interpretation of their artistry before and had never heard any band member reference this possible aspect of their creative presence. I was powerfully reconfirmed, and a bit shocked, to hear Bono refer to his performance here, for the first time I’d ever heard of their making any such similar reference, as a “folk mass”” in this concert, as he declared “Enough of the folk mass!” It may have been an old saw. Nevertheless, it meant a great deal to me, who was a victim of sociopathic torture and abuse, to have my love of their efforts interpreted as a their bringing a a sort of mass to the public to be be honored sand confirmed by the creative artists involved. It sure secured my respect for them as humanists navigating impeccably a very unique public role in the culture and in the social world. As I left the stadium, I knew I had parked my car in a rather obscure area around the rosebowl. the parking lot attendant checking folks generically at the line of peoole looking for their cars said to me “ I hope you enjoyed that show. Are you sure you can find your car. It’s parked in such an obscure area!” I ignored this odd familiarity, and said nothing to him but “ yeah it’s over by that tree. I’m sure I can find it myself.”
tied myself with wire To let the horses run free Playing with the fire Until the fire played with me The stone was semi-precious We were barely conscious Two souls too smart to be In the realm of certainty Even on our wedding day We set ourselves on fire Oh God, do not deny her It's not if I believe in love If love believes in me Oh, believe in me At the moment of surrender I folded to my knees I did not notice the passers-by And they did not notice me I've been in every black hole At the altar of the dark star My body's now a begging bowl That's begging to get back, begging to get back To my heart And to the rhythm of my soul And to the rhythm of my unconsciousness To the rhythm that yearns To be released from control I was punching in the numbers at the ATM machine I could see in the reflection A face staring back at me At the moment of surrender Of vision over visibility I did not notice the passers-by And they did not notice me I was speeding on the subway Through the stations of the cross Every eye looking every other way Counting down 'til the pentecost At the moment of surrender Of vision of over visibility I did not notice the passers-by And they did not notice me Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh
@BrunoSantosOrg you got that right, no matter what this man touches its just pure essence of music, I was completely wowed, jawdroped, silent, what else has he not shown us yet?
estuve en este concierto y ha sido el mejor al que he asistido. demasiado bueno con una calidad de sonido y de imagen increible. la pantalla 360 grados sobre paso todas las espectativas. compre boletas revendidas, toco.
These are the extra lyrics at the end of this song Life is short It’s the longest thing you’ll ever do The worst of the curse Was that your dreams came true God is a mirror in which each man sees himself Hell is a place where you don’t need any help When I first met you, your face was like snow Wherever I went you wanted to go Your face, your grace, your lipstick trace Your case as you put it down 8.17 on the ground Your faith in a clown Don’t leave me now Don’t leave me now Alone in the song Don’t leave me now Alone in the song
backgrounds... voice... chorus and band... sorry guys but all that is not enough to describe this song... ass more than a 15 year u2 follower. I can easly say this song... for the lyrics and performance is top 3 on u2's history... and one of the best in history for people that actualy care about music content and message. !sorry but english is not my native language!
This was a great song. Unfortunately the album was ruined by Get on Your Boots. Marketing that piece of rubbish as the opening single was a bad move. This song would have been an epic first single!
"Life is short, It’s the longest thing you’ll ever do
The worst of the curse, was that your dreams came true
God is a mirror in which each man sees himself
Hell is a place where you don’t need any help
When I first met you, your face was like snow
What about wherever you wanted to go
Your face, your grace, your lipstick trace
Your case as you put it down
8:17 on the ground
Your faith in a clown
Don’t leave me now
Don’t leave me now
Alone in the song
Don’t leave me now
Alone in the song"
“Life is short but it's the longest thing you'll ever do
The worst, the curse, is that your dreams came true
God is a mirror in which each man sees himself,
Hell is a place where you don’t need any help...”

No line on the horizon and Pop are the two most underrated U2 albums by far
Have Vertigo top!
Have Vertigo too!

Just a perfect song from a perfect (and underrated) album.
I love this live version of one of my favorite U2 songs! And great shots of Larry singing :-)
Why does this not have more views? The opening vocals are so emotive and heart felt. Love this live version!
I feel so so sorry for anyone that doesnt listen to U2.. We are the lucky ones..
I was there and the mix techs really brought his voice along perfectly thru the set list. A ridiculously humble dude about the beautiful tonality of his voice
Great, Great Band ! Love this song!

Every U2 song touches my heart differently every time I hear it; each as if it were for the first time. This was an amazing concert! Anaheim - also, yet again... a completely different vibe. U2's music has been a huge part of my life all through out my life. God bless!
The BEST U2 song of the 21st century.... Thank You, Brian Eno!
What a voice!
it seems like today the only music that gets played that is spiritual is gospel music. Even most gospel music i have listened to can't get as real as this does.

Fantastic words , I love this song.
Possibly their greatest live performance of the last few years. Amazing..
Harry Ireland it's amazing that you've seen all of their recent performances - you must be a billionaire

Best live performance of this song ever!
It was a great concert. I feel very fortunate I was even there :)
THIS WAS THE NIRVANA! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!

Thanks for this HD vid. I come back to it often. Wish I could differentiate Larry's vocals from Edge's louder voice!
Me too! He should sing more often, he has a beautiful voice.
Chair de poule à chaque écoute...peut-être un de leur meilleur morceau en live.
I love U2.
Peace.
masters.
Bono and u2 band its some of the greatest but Bono its the greatest Voice ever
I Loooooooooooooooooooooove This Song !!!!
Sometimes, I cry when listen this song ..........
I've got shivers down my spine and goosebumps everytime I hear this version! Holy fuck!
Great song!!!
This is the best.
Is the most beautiful and soft song. Remember my Dad in the sky!!!
tied myself with wire
To let the horses run free
Playing with the fire
Until the fire played with me
The stone was semi-precious
We were barely conscious
Two souls too smart to be
In the realm of certainty
Even on our wedding day
We set ourselves on fire
Oh God, do not deny her
It's not if I believe in love
If love believes in me
Oh, believe in me
At the moment of surrender
I folded to my knees
I did not notice the passers-by
And they did not notice me
I've been in every black hole
At the altar of the dark star
My body's now a begging bowl
That's begging to get back, begging to get back
To my heart
And to the rhythm of my soul
And to the rhythm of my unconsciousness
To the rhythm that yearns
To be released from control
I was punching in the numbers at the ATM machine
I could see in the reflection
A face staring back at me
At the moment of surrender
Of vision over visibility
I did not notice the passers-by
And they did not notice me
I was speeding on the subway
Through the stations of the cross
Every eye looking every other way
Counting down 'til the pentecost
At the moment of surrender
Of vision of over visibility
I did not notice the passers-by
And they did not notice me
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Adoro U2

For those of you who hate this album - you're in luck! Their next album is going to be the songs that couldn't make it to this album!
