Each feature has differing degrees of interest naturally, but I am scratching my head over the clip launcher as Ive never seen anything like it before. I cant work out what I would use it for (say v the arranger track) Is this mainly for electronic or loop based music?
I can be used for a number of different things. It could be used to do a remix of one of your songs, It can be used to create interesting backing tracks for performances. It could be used for sound effects for theater performances, it could be used in so many ways, limited only by imagination. I'm a Jazz guy, but even I have found creative uses for it!

This update may not be a must for me as I still make music the old style, playing and recording my own music with instruments. I am still waiting for the right click "move plugin to folder" on effects tab since v5 but still no luck
Each new update or upgrade of Studio One has a different focus each time, since we cannot please everyone of the userbase all of the time, and it gives the feature set a focus. Rather than the feature set not being cohesive. Previous releases have focused on mixing, recording and more organic sounds in the past. It is likely that such areas will be the focus again in the future. Whatever comes in the future, stay tuned here as I will cover all of it in future videos.

Are there plans to include an built-in audio alignment tool like Vocalign and the one in Cubase, and fully-featured graphic pitch editor that can compete with the likes of Cubase Variaudio3, Logic Pitchflex and FL Studio NewTone, as opposed to the very basic version of Melodyne? Stem Separation was the one thing that I was looking forward to but I didn't realize that you can't do guitar and lead guitar separation, maybe they are saving that for the next upgrade. Also in the same way that when you do a mixdown; a separate folder should be created for stem and not have the files go into the media folder. This version seems to be leading me down the path where everything is done for me and I just don't want to go there. I want to play my own tracks and not to have AI figure sample for me, etc. For others these upgrades are great but for me not so much. I agree with @jemwand2530. I appreciate you taking the time to make this great video for everyone.
We are just getting started with stem separation. So expect to see improvements going forward. Please note though, that lead and rhythm guitars tend to occupy the same part of the frequency spectrum, making separation exceedingly hard.
I tried to buy the upgrade from the website. It looks like I bought a second license of 6? I think something is wrong with the purchase process. I did fill out a support ticket because as a very long time user - previous upgrades have been simple. Great video.
If you purchased an upgrade within the grace period, you will need to logout of your account and then log back in and then click on Products. Then, locate your v6 product. Click on it to be taken to the product page. You should see a Redeem button. Click on that button.
for me my 3 must haves are all workflow related. Hopefully in the lifespan of v7 we'll get the following 1. Dim solo - we are told not to work in solo as we aren't hearing changes in context. Dim solo solves this by lowering the volume of all other tracks rather than muting them to silence 2. Freeze channels in the console to keep them always in view. Handy for scrolling a large session without losing view of channels you need permanently displayed. 3. Linking parameters when you have multiple instances of the same plugin on several channels. This would be great for when you have the same pre-amp slapped on multiple tracks, being able to increase tthe same parameter would be really good to quickly hearing the impact of one change that affects all instances.
I'm still on v4.6, I haven't seen anything yet that has made me want to upgrade but I'm a musician not a sampler/looper/producer. If this is the route Presonus Studio One is taking, I probably won't be staying around much longer. Where is the actual creative stuff...real time varispeed, channelstrip integration to tracks. You are catering to the wrong audience if you believe that more access to loops and samples is the way creative minds to thrive. This is just making people as lazy as Presonus have become. I'm seriously unimpressed.

I have addressed this many times, and I will repeat it again here, but each release of Studio One over the years has had a different focus. Since, you cannot please everyone in a single release, otherwise you would have bloatware. No one wants that. Least of all PreSonus. So, stay tuned. There will be more things added to Studio One Pro 7 in the future. You never know, you might find features that you might like.
I agree, but also disagree with some of your statements. The inclusion of clip launchers like Ableton is a helpful workflow for almost anybody for experimentation the way Presonus has done it with the scenes to flush out an entire song idea is the best I’ve seen in any daw, and I own almost all of them. The one thing that not many people are talking about is the updated UI. The way things look when selected, when a recording and when you’re slicing, it’s much better. All this being said, I’m a musician that primarily records real instruments, but after spending lots of time in Ableton & Bitwig, I understand the strengths they have that Presonus could learn from, and it looks they have.
Im now thinking, I should now be able to control my Moog DFAM with cv instrument directly from studio one........I just need to find out if the studiolive 32s has DC-coupled outputs.........
I'm 43 years old, I'm from the time that the only thing that sounded clean and nice and also simple was crystal , that is basically the father of studio one, cause the person joined other people to create studio one (or some story similar to that) and I have always used studio one since then (ofc I used protools , cool edit pro -bought and transformed into shit by adobe) etc etc. So as a studio one and cubase owner, and using just to record (yes in my TH-cam channel I don't post stuff with quality on purpose) , I'm really divided. The model of updates per year is something that I don't like honestly. I'm one license buying guy... But let's see what the future tells.
lordy, happy birthday... personally I am very pissed at presonus, basically halving update time, so users get only one year instead of two years of updates... sucks!!!
You can still upgrade every two years if you want to. Then you would get all the features in the year you miss PLUS the ones in the year you upgrade for the exact same price of $149. Not sure what there is there to be "pissed" about. It's flexible. More features being added SOONER is a good thing.

Nothing changes for you. If you have an active subscription, then Studio One Pro 7 should be in your account. If you do not see it, then log out of your account and log back in.
Ideally, yes. But they do have a trial you can check out and there is some free Splice content available for Studio One users as well. If you are a Studio One Pro+ member, then there is a hefty discount for Splice subs.

Well.......since he has Gold and Platinum records to his credits, as well as a highly successful career writing theme music for film and TV, I think he is a pretty good draw for the product, actually; especially when you consider that his part of the industry is dominated by Logic and Pro Tools. But, he's not going to be to everyone's taste.

Can I change the D# to Eb in the piano roll? Or do they still ignore it?
Choose your key and it will set accordingly always been that way

Can the Global Transpose be inserted mid song so that we can add a key change?
No. It is global in the transport bar, it is not available for the signature track.
