I still can't believe the U.S. had such ridiculously high denominations. I know they usually weren't used in circulation very often, but it's still so fascinating.
We were very prosperous at one point. Think about how most of New York was built in a generation or two, while today we are just living off their work, building a high rise here and there with foreign money.
$10,000 in 1928 or 1934 -- like having $2 million today. I once saw a video of a person counting a stack of $10k notes. That's kinda neat, but a bar of gold - worth more - is neater.
@@UbongaShorts It was on a TV show - I think - Modern Marvels. It's the only time I ever saw someone counting bills > $100. When I adjusted for inflation, the shot was pretty cool.
In this video, I would love to say I took a number of notes. Sorry love puns. I did get a lot of information from this video. Thank you for all the work you put into your channel. Take care, be safe.
I just watched _Midnight Run_ from 1988 and at the end he pays Robert Deniro with all *$1000* bills. But that’s like an equivalent of a _million dollar bill_ in today’s currency
Benny Binion in Las Vegas bought $1,000,000 dollars worth. He had them placed under glass and put in his casino and people could have their picture taken next to $1,000,000! They were sold in 1997.
I own a lot and a lot of higher dimensions like the $1000 the $500 $5000. $10,000,00 And some other rare notes from my grandfather passed them into me.
Sure, you could deposit it into your checking account. The bank would accept it as legal tender. But you'd get only face value for it. You could get six figures for it from a coin dealer or at an auction!
I think you should do all series of notes like this. 10,000 is a good place to start. Do 5,000 next
Adjusted for Inflation, that $10,000 in 1934 is worth $200,891.79 today! (NOT counting 'Collectability)
I don't know about your circumstances, but I don't carry that much on hand (usually) :D
Hi. How do I sell a 1934 G7 series 10k bill?
@@allyp9880 get it graded through a grading company and varying on condition you can list on an online auction or Ebay.

Years ago I went to the Phila.Federal Reserve building they had a display of these big number bills. Neat to see. Bill
I have $100,000 in 1934 banknotes and they are genuine. I seriously have it
I’ve had 10k bills in Chicago when I was in real estate
10,000 back then would have practically bought a small town. Today it doesn't even buy a decent car. We should have larger bills today!
