Pre poo is my thing... but post moving and new job all in one month (January), my concentration is not on my hair rn. I like pre pooing with oils, I believe I've tried aloe once. I'm still trying to figure out if my scalp like aloe. Although, my hair feels lovely.
Your hair is really flourishing and it’s the most beautiful 4c hair on you tube. That speaks to you knowing your hair and actually knowing what you are talking about. I don’t pre poo because I have so much hair and it’s almost to my butt; it’s already a process.
@@drfrancenegayle879 my hair grows pretty fast and was always long like past bra strap but never this long. I use to get perms and I had dandruff really bad. Once I stopped getting perms in 2016, lo and behold, no dandruff all this time I didn't realize the perm was drying my hair and scalp couldn't breath. I started washing my hair every 2-3 weeks and only straightened twice a year, the rest of the time I would twist it. Everyone's hair is different but this worked for me. I have "good" hair by no means because it is extremely thick, course, dense etc but it's manageable; to best sum it up my hair is in between natural85s and kandidkinks.
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous. Next month will be 5 years since my last relaxer. I big chopped 5 months later. I hope my hair will flourish as much as yours did at the 10 year mark. Yup, I am putting in the work. Yes, pre-poo on a regular basis is a game changer!
I live for prepooing. It’s makes my wash day so much easier. I have fine strands and high density hair. Would be a tangled mess if I don’t prepoo. My two favorites are aunt Jackie’s knot on my watch and melanin hair care leave in conditioner.
Yes to that shrinkage sis!!!! I use the proceed with caution pre or post poo mask from TMC, as my prepoo every week! I used to do it the night before, but the mask has so much slip, and seeps into my strands so quickly that I just do it the day of!
Uh-oh! My favorite 4C queen is out here making a DIY video!! Definitely only halfway through but already liked this one, hahaha. Yes to pre-poo; oils + ayurvedic herbs overnight with a conditioning cap. Has definitely made a difference. Okay and shout-out to you for putting me onto Honey's Handmade. They got me shook and are about to get whatever coins I have left, hahaha.
Just found this video 😊 was surfing the tube 🏄🏾♀️ while taking down my 3.5 week old braids . I use aloe vera juice and olive oil as a prepoo. Tomorrow morning I will wash and deep condition it. Love the video 😍 your shrinkage is real , hair is gorgeous
Mine are a month old too. I haven't washed yet (I wash once a month) and I'm scared to because I don't wanna play myself. I know my fine strands play games. I redid the 2 braids in the back this weekend. My hair always get matted at the base in the very back I broke it up back there to make sure it didn't stay compacted for too long. Gonna stay in these one more month til I take the MCAT (pray for me!! 💙). Will use acv rinses to keep the itchiness down.
I recently prepooed a coffee growth oil I purchased from another 4c natural hair TH-camr (Selina Zinchuk). She teaches how to dyi all of these natural hair products but my lazy natural self just buys it. It makes my hair so soft.
For those like (myself) who had never heard of this beautiful person but wanted to see more: ssecrets.net/our-shop/ by Selina Zinchuk I will be making my own purchase very soon! 👌🏿
Thank you for this video Lexi! I love the diy aloe and oil idea. I don't prepoo because I don't have the time, wash my hair every 2-3 days and really don't manipulate it that much - but if I ever needed to I would try your idea. So love your natural texture shot. You make 4c lovely, luxurious and low-key.
Hey Lexi! I prepoo every wash day recently with making an onion juice and oil recipe. This over time will help thicken my hair. Thanks for this DIY aloe vera prepoo. Will add this to my DIY list of recipes. 🥰
Never mind the prepoo tutorial . This whole vid was ASMR and soothing. Delivery was on point background music was good. I just loved this vid. I really enjoyed it. Oh and shrinkage is real.
i pre poo every wash day but that’s bcuz i wash my hair every two weeks .. essential to my wash days. i use the africans pride pre poo product though it’s amazing ..
I've heard that aloe is very moisturizing. If I'm in the mood, I would pre-poo with a hot oil treatment although I haven't done that in MONTHS. I might need to finally give this a try.
I've been pre-pooing every week (the night before washday) with a hot oil treatment for a month. Haven't noticed much difference so I'm going to try switch up which oils I use. One challenge is the oil on my pillow when I wake up. I've tried everything but it always manages to seep out somehow so that's pretty annoying, but I'm going to continue experimenting because I really want to reap these famous results. Great video as always Alexia❤️, have a good week🤗
I do! Aloe vera usually...here of late it's been amla treatments or onion juice. But tomorrow I get my cornrows so I get a month off toooooooo!!!💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾🙌🏾
Hey Lexi!!! I've got an appointment and can't stay, but you know I tapped that Like Button and am playing the video while typing this comment so my view counts!!! 😍💛💛💛👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾 okay gotta jet!!!
I Pre-poo with Mo Knows Hair’s product I use it to clean and massage my scalp, then I work it through the length of my hair. The scent is very luxurious and not too heavy for me. I can shampoo very lightly afterwards because it virtually cleanses my hair by itself💜💜💜
You just taught me why my hair sheds so much after when I wash my hair after I take out my braids😭😭😭I haven’t had braids in a while but def gonna remember to do that next time😅 Would a hot oil treatment work too?
I got anxiety within the first 10 seconds of you taking down those tiny braids, I lost my patience years ago for taking down braids although I think they're beautiful 😫
Happy Sunday!! Do you prepoo?

Pre poo makes my hair softer and more manageable during wash days.
Me too, I use aloe Vera juice and a blend of oils.

I just removed 2-month old braids. I have had major growth. I did wash them once and added aloe vera for 4 days before washing.
I prepoo the night before every wash day, makes wash day so much better

Hey, I also prepoo the night before, l wrap a plastic bag around my hair & on top of that a silk headscarf & that works for me!
Your hair is growing yeeessss!!
When she brushed it I was like, ok Lexi! Show those inches!
C Jones I know right!
I prepoo and will be using the aloe recipe you provided.
Yass, that’s a great DIY with a little added mayonnaise & ACV!!!! Waah Laah!!

Pre poo is so helpful helps me retain volume from skrinage
Taking my feed in braids out TONIGHT and doing some sort of prepoo tomorrow. I can not wait to really wash my hair😁
For me, the prepoo is a non-negotiable. You had a beautiful braid out when you removed your plaits. I'm gonna try doing a braid out with small plaits.
I haven't done a pre-poo myself in a while
Okay length! I see you!

Hey Lexi doll!
What type of hand mixer is that?
Great Video sis. Quick question, do you do protein treatments ?
Hey, thanks for the video! Do you heat up your pre-poo or does it still work the same for you without heating?
I didn’t heat this up, the thought didn’t cross my mind. But that’s not a bad idea !
Where did you get that brush?
Where is your brush from girl?
Kazmaleje, it’s called the paddle comb
www.kazmaleje.com/products/kurls-plus-detangler-paddle-comb
What did you do to maintain them ? They still look good for a month old ?
I put a bonnet on at night, nothing crazy. Washed them once and I had crochet faux locs on top for about 2 weeks
What is the name of the brush you are using?
I bought that expensive a$$ paddle brush. 🙄 i wan’ back mi moneeeeeey! 😂 It was too bulky & just didn’t work for me.
May we have the link for that detangling brush please?
