- This was one of my first National TV appearances when I was a member of The Harlem Globetrotters. One of my favourite interviews I've ever done, and gives a light hearted insight to my height.

@Will Smith Obviously 6'8" is tall, but in comparison to someone who is 7'8" it really isn't. A man of 6'8" would barely stand past Paul's shoulder. A foot difference in height is huge.

Lets put this into perspective. The tallest doctor is around 6'4" to 6'5". Tiny is 7'7" to 7'8" so roughly 14"-16" difference. Robert Wadlow was verified at 8"11" before he died so roughly 15"-16" difference between Wadlow and Sturgess so Wadlow would make Sturgess look like the doctor. !! MAN THAT IS TALL !!
he didn't even die from his 8'11 stature, but rather an infection that no doctor wanted to treat 😭
i think he could have easily hit 9'4

Stork is about 6’4” (193 cm) which is about 6 to 7 inches above the average male height. So yes he’s pretty tall, that’s almost two inches taller than me (6' 2½"), and about how tall my grandfather was.

I was less than 5’6 through high school and now I’m 5’7-5’8. Y’all are some big boys but I just wanted to say, I was surprised I kept growing until I was 21. Never hit a “growth spurt”. Just grew 1-2 inches every year. Only wish I was this height so I was a little bigger for sports earlier on so I could get a scholarship. Edit: I’m bout the same height as Goku heheh. 6’5 man, that’s tall enough. You probs wouldn’t wanna be any taller, my homies have a hard time with cars and cloths that are your height.

@@kevinaviles6462 All just genes buddy. look at your dad and mom, and usually you'll get your answer. I was about your height at that age but I was a late bloomer. You'll probably grow at least another inch or two. So don't worry too much.

The craziest thing about this… there’s nothing medical causing this. Nothing wrong with him at all. Most people that tall have some sort of disorder, but they did tests on Sturgess when he was younger and it’s just genetics. He’s simply very tall.
That's. why he can do sports and other things ,the most of that height with a disorder are disabled and have difficulties to walk.
It really gives you an idea how tall Robert Wadlow was as he was 8'11" tall!

0:16 that's not necessarily true just from personal experience. Being 6'9 myself, I actually never had a growth spurt growing up. I was always gradual, growing at most two inches in a year.
His height is 7ft 7 and half inches tall and is currently the tallest Man in Britain and Ted Evans was an inch taller than sturgess who stood 7ft 8 and half inches tall.

The tallest person in history was 8’11 Robert Wadlow he was already 7ft tall whenever he was in the 6th grade just 7 inches shorter than that guy let that sink in

the same thing happened to me, when i was 12 i was about 5’6 or 5’7 but when i turned 14 i went all the up to 6’5.

I grew up to I was 20 years old. I was 6'0 when I was 18. By the time I was 20 , I was 6'4.

My freshman year of high school I was around 5’4 and in my photography class we had a senior named Chris Conway who was 6’10, he towered me.

Paul Sturgess is in fact a non pathological giant, his height is not gigantism.

No, just a deep voice. His medical records revealed his height was due to his father's side.
@@fatfrog997the voice does not sound quite normal. It sounds like a tall voice or a giant voice. You could also tell that Andre the giants voice was tall or a giants voice. I think Pauls and Andres voices are gigantism voices and thats why they sound like that. Pau Gasol who is about the same height as Andre has a very normal sounding voice, a voice not affected by gigantism. There is a difference between a deep voice and gigantism voice like in these cases. Even basso profundo does not sound like that and thats a genuine deep voice, no gigantism

The reason he had so many health problems and died at 46 is because e never had treatment for it.
@@MordyMcCheese yes but in both cases and conditions the voice becomes tall. Not just tall but big too. At those heights these two conditions seem to be very common. Naturally tall people at that height exist and their voices do not sound tall. Like paul gasol, the same height as andre but very different voices, one affected by something and the other one a normal tenor voice. The man in this video also has a tall sounding voice, probably affected by some condition there which at that height can be common

Yeah I think it's because super tall people have long vocal cords which results in a deep voice.
I was 6ft6 when I was only 12 years old, that was about the start of high school, turned 18 and hit 7ft, am now 19 turning 20 in 5 months and I'm about 7ft2, GLOBETROTTERS HMU
