Even not counting for Summer and Fall seasons, AOT S4P2 ed "Akuma no Ko" is a very big contender for anime ed of the year. It definitely a hard choice but I don't think Akuma no Ko should/will lose.

I recently saw a comment somewhere on the internet about the ending being sad because Anya in color and Loid and Yor being gray is foreshadowing that they will be gone from her life in the future. But, I like to believe that this ending has a different meaning to it. Loid and Yor going through so much in the past making them emotionless professionals working for their country, but Anya being in their life is slowly changing them and giving them colors in their life. This is shown in the ending at the dancing scene and the dinner scene. Loid and Yor is in color when around Anya and having fun as a family. This show is just so wholesome and I love it!
I just feel like it's from the perspective of Anya from beginning to end. She really needs a family and this is what she envisions a father and mother to be and in a purely unintentional chance of fate, that's exactly how Loid and Yor treats her. From the eyes of society and circumstance, a completely dysfunctional set of characters made to play fake family but in their minds and hearts they may be even more deeply involved - contrary to popular belief that blood is thicker than water.
I actually crying while watching this. I always wanted this nuance in my life with my family, but that only happened until i was 6. After that, everyting was crushed down to earth. Plus, i know a little bit japanese, so while watching three of them holding hands, i feel so happy and sad. Happy because i can atleast feel a little bit of sight on happy family. Sad because i couldn't get that on my childhood.

I'm not a Manga reader either but from what is set up so far I 100% expect Loid and Yor to choose Anya's happiness by the end of the show over their secret occupations and come together as a real family. There is no way this show ends sadly.
The chorus always gets me,i didnt watch the show,but i can understand whats happening to her,(i did read ,in wikiXD)the tone of the chorus makes me cry plus the girl fropping in school ,butvshe taught she be alone,but a shadow of loid appear,abd after that yor,and escpecially the one they are dancing...
