    My vote for the window is the exercise wood stick…loved it… for it’s history… but of course I can only imagine how your lovely cottage is getting full of all your amazing finds! They get so amazing every week. You are such kind ladies!!! And Alex, your love for denture finds is extraordinary … have you considered becoming a dentist? (Hehe😉) … imagine how cool your office will be decorated with all the dentures you have found so far! And Gail you are so kind with your words, I loved how you expressed that the day was so beautiful and that “it’s beautiful between the storms” don’t we hope that to be true always! Thank you for sharing your finds. Greetings from California 🌹

    Loved this video, I would so love to be able to go to a bottle dump like that.
    I worked for Wellcome so seeing the Wellcome ChemWorks mini bottle was a real treat. I think it was produced for their site in Dartford, Kent, I worked not far away at their R&D site at Beckenham, Kent. Also the information on the other Wellcome bottle you have was interesting.
    I was very kindly and generously gifted a small pill bottle by the Kentish Mudlarks and then in one of their following videos they found another one to replace in their collection!

    My mother in law used to make moss gardens in jars that had a lid. The condensation would water them, and they were so beautiful. The pots your found with moss in them reminded me of her craft. Next time, leave the moss and take it home. Keep it moist and you'll have a lovely little garden in a pot.

    Loads of amazing interesting bottles! And some gems as well, I loved the history behind the juggling club, I had no idea it was initially a weapon, I always associated them with circus jugglers, so I found that fascinating. It's always good to see crossovers with mudlarkers, you all seem like such a lovely friendly community. - I'd love to see what you do with the plant pots you collect, I remember Alex saying she plants seeds, I'm imagining front garden with lots of Victorian plant pots full of plants in bloom 🤗
    Lovely video again, thank you both. 💛

      @NorthernMudlarks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, same here! We alway thought they were just for juggling. It's amazing what history is waiting to be re-discovered! Most of the post we find are used for our house plants 😊Thank you so much for watching 🥰

    Thank you for taking us along with you. I love all the bottles you found. My personal favorite is the large ink with the pouring spout but the two that were very beautiful and unusual were the Coty bottle and the blue Inecto bottle. But all were treasures. My vote for the window of wonder is the smallest amber bottle and the odd shaped bottle stopper. I have a bit of an idea for you ladies. Being that you both are such artists, perhaps you could concoct a narrow stained glass shelf to go across your picture window for your special finds to perch. Just imagine a sun shinny day with sun beams dancing through the stained glass shelf upon your table and in your room! I think it would be stunning. I love that the field's fauna left you some of you wonderful finds. Thank you for another great adventure!, and above all else your wonderful smiles. 😁😁

    Loved watching this. The moving, blinking Charles Goodyear picture was so cool! My youngest daughter got me hooked on mudlarking videos in 2020 when we were all stuck at home. We still watch them. I told her we should just travel to the UK and visit places where we could search for gems and fabulous little finds. She said, "You mean we would just go there to mudlark and that's it?" I have never been to your country or anywhere in Europe, but I find myself wanting to visit after seeing your videos. I love to think that my English and Scottish ancestors may have visited the places you go. Thanks for doing this every week. Laura in NC, USA

    Now there is a group of trouble makers😉of the best sort. It is always special when there are others with us doing what we love and also enjoying themselves just as much. I believe I joined both Docking Bay 51(at the time) and the Northern Mudlarks at about the same time and love them both. I'm sure Sara and Alex with a shared interest in somewhat macabre finds love to share stories of those finds as much as we love hearing about them. My best to you all, and good luck on the next adventures!🤗🥰

    Fun adventure with the Manchesters. 😉 Hard to pick a Fave. Either the blue hair dye bottle or the small green Square bead? Looks like the top to a hat pin. Hope to hear the history on it. So great to hear the interesting history of found objects and people as the one of the clay pots in today's story. Thanks for all your hard work and excellent filming friends. 💖💖 from the US.🇺🇸🤗

      This week would be a good week for two finds to make onto the windowsill. I would go with the green bead as my first choice but the blue Inecto bottle would be a very close second, more than a one and a half.

    Hello Beauties
    Grand to have Mick and Sarah with you today. The shoes, you must have found the dump of Lost Souls. I love the little bottles also. It must have taken so much more time to manufacture especially those with embossing. The Chip on the Lip bottle is a real heartbreaker. I would be hard pressed to leave any bottle behind. Love the blue hair dye bottle, along with the teeniest of bottles. My vote for the window piece is the exercise tossing stick.

    I can imagine when the sun shines in that bay window with all the different colored bottles the room must be lid up in the all the colors of the rainbow. I wish I could go there to see all your treasures and hand made items. You ladies are two rare gems. One of my dreams is to make a journey to Ireland's and Scottland. Hopefully one day before my time runs out. Wish you ladies all the best cheers from Princeton Illinois USA.

    Those little bottle finds generate a lot of historical interest, such varied shapes and beautiful colors. The best find was the Neiger brothers bead, well spotted Gail. Sorry Alex, but that denture was hideous but offset by that beautiful little blue bottle. Sue and Ian, Australia

    Wonderful memories are raised by your finds being shared. Growing up, my best friend and I attended a ‘deportment’ class for young girls, called the ‘Ellen Margaret School of Physical Culture’, ran by a woman in Briar Hill, Victoria, Australia. Part of our lessons, aside from learning dance steps and lyrics to popular songs to perform at end of year concerts and exercise routines, were using Indian Clubs. These where painted in black and white rings along the length of each club, with the rounded knob end held in the hand and swung around in patterns. At the time, I could never see the point of these clubs and didn’t much enjoy that part of classes. I wonder what ever happened to them?

    I would not be able to leave there! So many great finds and of course with Sarah & Mick makes it so much fun. I think the stick should go in the window. Fascinating finds.
