Another wonderful postcard Ceri! I want to thank you for creating this challenge. Watching your prep videos and seeing all of the buzz that was already around the challenge before it even started was just what I needed to jump in and join. I've been in a bit of a funk creatively lately, and this challenge was just what I needed to get creating again.

I liked the print when the leaves were white, but layered over the card, and the colors on the card came through the leaves, well, champion! Then, when you added the butterflies and referred to Japanese culture, well😍! I have a mild obsession with "The Tale of Genji," "The Pillowbook(diary) of Sei Shonagon" and the Heian period; in this period letter writing was an art; if gel printing had existed in this period, I can picture Sei Shonagon using this card to correspond with the empress Akiko, at whose court Shonagon was a lady-in-waiting.

If you ever need color inspiration, visit a home furnishing textile shoppe and simply buy a quarter yard .
If I mail postcards like these I put them in an envelope to protect them.

I got my 2nd one done…I hurried along again to create something fast as I did with yesterday’s cause I have nothing prepped, but this weekend I am going crazy to get things prepped. Thanks for this challenge I am having fun but feel rushed as you could probably understand. I really wish I had found your challenge sooner, but it is what it is and 8 am still going to jump in with both feet.

Between day 1 & 2 I couldn't pick a favorite, they are both stunning mini works of art. My challenge will start in a couple days as we had a family event but still hope to do 31 days, it'll just end in August :) The makes by the artists so far have been amazing!

Ceri, I think I'm doing mine wrong. I'm putting gelprints on them and the date number and it's 4X6. But I embellish it like a tag. Is that alright?

Hi Ceri, Beautiful! For the leaf impressions do you have to use tissue paper to get the best impressions if you don't care about transparency or can you use other paper?
You can do this with any softish paper as you need to press it down into the gaps between the stems but it does work and no it doesn’t have to be transparent.
It is a pug Ceri. My daughter and her kids have a pug and she is a character too. Love this postcard. 🇦🇺

How are you storing your postcards?
Sherry mine will eventually go into my postcard album but some are creating boxes, some journals however suits your style the best.
Just wondering, if I am using the hashtag but I do not see my video. ❤
