Amazing reaction! After watching the documentary this performance was so much more than I could even hope for ❤ I watched it so many times and I'm tearing up every time - on this evening, experiencing it live in front of the TV I was a complete mess 😂 I adore her matured voice reflecting all the happiness, pain, grief and love - her entire life! So happy for her that she finally receives the flowers from all over the world!!!
The performance is allegedly not live, contrary to her team's claims. A video was uploaded from a French TV station before any copyright or pitch correction could be applied to a live performance. Although that video has since vanished, it exists somewhere, and when compared to the pitch-corrected version, they align perfectly, which is unfeasible in a live setting.
Yep. It’s true. The Wings of Pegasus channel goes into a lot of detail like you have mentioned. Besides, she sounded way tooo good so that was one of my tip offs. No one sounds like that! I was honestly gutted and then like… why be gutted? She did sing! Granted not what we heard etc. But the little bit I heard from that video you mentioned, you could tell she can still sing…but I’m also not sure she was singing for more than a handful of seconds at a time because all the sudden, she would sound exactly like the track. And also… everyone at the Olympics is using a prerecorded audio I was told bc there’s just too much on the line if things go wrong like the mic. And also… basically everyone is auto tuned or pitch corrected these days… it’s a travesty. I went down a rabbit hole can you tell? 😂
My head snapped up when I heard Celine’s voice and …. the tears started 😢. I wasn’t sure we’d ever hear her iconic voice again. I’ve been lucky…I saw her live back in the 90’s, before Titanic, before she was truly an icon. And I’m not particularly religious, but to hear Celine sing live is to know that she was truly touched by God. Her heart and compassion and joy were so contagious. People from 4 years old to 80 were dancing in the aisles-I’ve never experienced anything like her before or since (and I was lucky enough to see Whitney as well)! There are so many talented artists out there but none compare (imho) She is the GOAT! And we are so lucky she’s back! From Celine to…Simone to Suni to Katy and so many more athletes …. These Olympics aren’t even over but there is so much inspiration everywhere you look. Btw, I love it that you called her Aunty Celine! 💜 Great reaction!
Ditto on everything - except I did not see Whitney. Saw Celine in the 90's with Yoyo Ma ....& same ...the voice of an Angel sent by God himself. Was blessed to see Andrea Bocelli ...the male version of the same. This performance made me weep & I have watched it probably 30x's by now. Same Reaction.
The song is call "Hymne a l'amour", "Hymn to love" it tell of the love you feels for a husband or partner. Celine lost her husband René Angélil eight years ago. The blue sky over us can collapse And the Earth can crumble I don't care as long as you love me I don't care about the whole world As long as love fills my mornings As long as my body quivers under your hands I don't care about the problems My love, since you love me I would go to the ends of the earth I would have my hair dyed blonde If you asked me I would go and get the moon I would go and steal the fortune If you asked me I would deny my homeland I would deny my friends If you asked me They can laugh all they want I would do anything If you asked me If one day, life tears you away from me If you die, let you be far from me I don't care, if you love me Because I would die too We will have for us eternity In the blue of all the immensity In the sky, no more problem My love, do you think we love each other? God unites those who love each other
Celine Dion is a French Canadian from, the town of Charlemagne in the province of Quebec. ( a small village 50 mile outside of Montreal) . She sang ,Edith Piaf's Hymne à l'amour , or Hymn to Love, is a 1949 . French song with words by Édith Piaf and music by Marguerite Monnot.
There's since been a picture of her as a girl from 1982 that's come up, which shows her during her first trip to Paris. Back then, she had a dream of singing from the Eiffel Tower. Who knew she would actually get to do it one day? She was born in a town called Charlemagne, a town about 15 miles northeast of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was the youngest of fourteen kids in her family.
She's singing in french. She's got a good voice . A guy named Aldo Nova wrote some of her songs he also wrote songs for Bon Jovi & Blue Oyster Cult he also sings ,& plays guitar.
I found this translation of the French lyrics. Especially the last sentence hits home: The blue sky over us can collapse on itself and the ground can (really) cave in. Little matters to me if you love me I couldn't care less about the whole world As long as love will flood my mornings As long as my body will tremble under your hands The problems make little difference to me My love, because you love me.
I will go to the end of the world I will dye my hair blond If you ask me to I will go take down the moon I will steal fortune if you ask me to.
I will renounce my country I will renounce my friends if you ask me to. One could really laugh at me I will do anything if you ask me to.
if one day life tears you away from me if you die than you will be far from me what's it matter if you love me because I will die too. We will have for us, eternity in the blue of all the immensity in heaven, no more problems my love do you believe that we love each other God reunites those who love each other.
This is 'Hyme de l'Amour' - the Hymn to Love, written by France's greatest singer Edith Piaf after the death of her fiancee (a famous French boxer) in a plane crash in 1949. Celine was spectacular in voice, looks, courage, and fashion. It was magnifique! BTW Quebec is a province of CANADA, NOT France.
Watching this performance on TV with so much emotion and tears… great performance and comeback from Céline… she is from my country the Province of Quebec
I’ve been listening to Celine Dion and Andrea Boccelli literally since before I came into the world, so, to see Celine singing again despite her medical issue, just made me super happy ❤️
What do Celine Dion, Wolverine and Britt have in common? Each of them is the best there is at what they do!! Merci Celine, and well done Britt, as usual!!
4:07 You have coincidentally answered your own question, the song is about "I don't care (of anything) because you love me". Her (Édith Piaf's) lover had just died in a plane crash on the way seeing her, when she asked him to ride a plane instead of a boat.
BRITT! When will you sing some of YOUR favorite songs on your channel? Huh? We know from the little snippets you do sing that you have been gifted with a beautiful voice! When Britt? Ya big CHICKEN!
J’adore Céline, amazing come back! Staff was on standby just in case she had a medical emergency. She was like an angel over Paris for those five minutes, sharing love with the world.❤ We in Quebec are a Canadian province that speaks French .
As a French who saw it live on TV, I was... Mesmerized. This song is a legend, and so is Céline. To be honest, I think it was the best part of the ceremony and it somehow saved it 😅 The song is "L'hymne à l'amour" originally sung by Edith Piaf, released in 1950. In case you wanna understand the lyrics : The blue sky could fall on us The earth could collapse I don't care, if you love me I don't care about the whole world As long as my mornings will be flooded by love As long as my body will shake under your hands I don't care about problems My love, because you love me I'd tour the world, I'd dye my hair blonde If you asked me to I'd grab the moon, I'd steal a fortune If you asked me to I'd deny my homeland, I'd deny my friends If you asked me to They can laugh at me but I'd do anything If you asked me to If life eventually tears you apart from me If you die and disappear far from me I don't care, if you love me Because I'll die too We'll have eternity for us Inside the universe's endless blue In the sky, no more problems My love, do you think we're in love? God reunites lovers Hope this helps 😘
Celin Dion’s documentary was heartbreaking but I also feel like it shows how strong of a woman she is. I was emotional watching that but this performance… Watching this performance, on TV, it had me crying from start to finish. What a beautiful comeback she made. I hope she was well afterwards and that this performance didn’t trigger any spasms. She sounded amazing and looked absolutely stunning.

Canadian province: French is main language in province and there is a special bond between France and Quebec. Celine sounded wonderful. My favorite Edith Piaf song: Non, je ne regrette rien {No, I regret nothing]
As a French Canadian who knows how difficult it may be to get recognized in your field ,Celine for us is an icon, a complete accomplishment, an exemple , she works so much to get this perfection, everything she haves she deserved it . Her voice , her personality , her work , her passion , her respect for people is something that we will never seen again. She speaks and sings perfectly in French or English. She is so concerned about the suffering people I am just feeling guilty to not be as perfect as she is and I try to remember this every day because it makes me happy.
I don't think there has been a versatile voice like Céline. I am always proud of a fellow Canadian and pray she keeps healing. I also don't begrudge artists that make it big. It is not given to them and they put the work in to get where they are.

)Her most iconic event prior to these Olympics took place in Quebec City when Celine went on stage for the first time with her childhood idol, GInette Reno. The song is titled "Un peu plus haut" (A little higher). A must watch performance.
The song is "L'hymn à l'amour" (Hymn to Love), which was originally performed and recorded by the French icon Édith Piaf (the little sparrow) in 1956. (Watch the movie "La Vie en Rose" for a biopic of Piaf. French actress Marion Cotillard played Piaf, and she won the Oscar that year for Best Actress.)

Had tears watching this as a huge Céline Dion fan. I thought we would never hear her beautiful voice again. But she SANG!! And what a voice!!
סלין מדהימה.שרה מדהים.כל כך מרגש.ביצוע מהמם❤❤❤❤❤אהבתי את התגובה שלך🤘🤘🤘🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
After everything she has gone thru , what seemed impossible, she over came , she right there was the true face of courage , love and hope
Your review of Celine was just wonderful
This is a song written by Edith Piaf, a great singer about her boyfriend that died in a crash, it's about the love they had. Hymne A L'amoure, the words are intense.
La première j ai entendu cette voix suis resté connecter .Céline est là meilleure chanteuse du monde.aucune personne ne peut l égaler. Bravo ! Tu es vraiment une légende
Yes it was raining when celine sang, look the piano is soaked
One of the most iconic performances that come round a few times in a life time ………. It was that good
It's a truly iconic and historic performance.
i appreciate your adoration and wonderment of this song. your enthusiasm of the place. the eiffel tower. the amazing grace and talent of celine dion.
The song is call "Hymne a l'amour", "Hymn to love" it tell of the love you feels for a husband or partner. Celine lost her husband René Angélil eight years ago.
The blue sky over us can collapse
And the Earth can crumble
I don't care as long as you love me
I don't care about the whole world
As long as love fills my mornings
As long as my body quivers under your hands
I don't care about the problems
My love, since you love me
I would go to the ends of the earth
I would have my hair dyed blonde
If you asked me
I would go and get the moon
I would go and steal the fortune
If you asked me
I would deny my homeland
I would deny my friends
If you asked me
They can laugh all they want
I would do anything
If you asked me
If one day, life tears you away from me
If you die, let you be far from me
I don't care, if you love me
Because I would die too
We will have for us eternity
In the blue of all the immensity
In the sky, no more problem
My love, do you think we love each other?
God unites those who love each other
It’s a love song! To me it’s a love song to the whole world. Begging the world to love itself. To love each other.
CELiNE DiON 😊
She's singing in french. She's got a good voice . A guy named Aldo Nova wrote some of her songs he also wrote songs for Bon Jovi & Blue Oyster Cult he also sings ,& plays guitar.
I found this translation of the French lyrics. Especially the last sentence hits home: The blue sky over us can collapse on itself
and the ground can (really) cave in.
Little matters to me if you love me
I couldn't care less about the whole world
As long as love will flood my mornings
As long as my body will tremble under your hands
The problems make little difference to me
My love, because you love me.
I will go to the end of the world
I will dye my hair blond
If you ask me to
I will go take down the moon
I will steal fortune
if you ask me to.
I will renounce my country
I will renounce my friends
if you ask me to.
One could really laugh at me
I will do anything
if you ask me to.
if one day life tears you away from me
if you die than you will be far from me
what's it matter if you love me
because I will die too.
We will have for us, eternity
in the blue of all the immensity
in heaven, no more problems
my love do you believe that we love each other
God reunites those who love each other.
Celine is singing "L'Hymne à l'Amour" (The Hymn of Love) from Edith Piaf (french singer).
The greatest of all love songs! ❤
I cried through this entire performance. I adore her so much
Your reaction is spot on and perfect!!! Thanks for your kind words and support for her!!!!
She's 56 But Her Voice Is Totally Back The Same...
Whitney Is Proud Of Her Bcoz Shes Part Of The Best Trinity
4:07 You have coincidentally answered your own question, the song is about "I don't care (of anything) because you love me". Her (Édith Piaf's) lover had just died in a plane crash on the way seeing her, when she asked him to ride a plane instead of a boat.
BRITT! When will you sing some of YOUR favorite songs on your channel? Huh? We know from the little snippets you do sing that you have been gifted with a beautiful voice! When Britt? Ya big CHICKEN!
J’adore Céline, amazing come back! Staff was on standby just in case she had a medical emergency. She was like an angel over Paris for those five minutes, sharing love with the world.❤
We in Quebec are a Canadian province that speaks French .
The ending is "God reunites those who love one another"
Always when she sings in French she is a vision of excellence! ❤️💪🏻🤞🏻🇫🇷
I love your words. Beautiful reaction.
As a French who saw it live on TV, I was... Mesmerized. This song is a legend, and so is Céline. To be honest, I think it was the best part of the ceremony and it somehow saved it 😅
The song is "L'hymne à l'amour" originally sung by Edith Piaf, released in 1950.
In case you wanna understand the lyrics :
The blue sky could fall on us
The earth could collapse
I don't care, if you love me
I don't care about the whole world
As long as my mornings will be flooded by love
As long as my body will shake under your hands
I don't care about problems
My love, because you love me
I'd tour the world, I'd dye my hair blonde
If you asked me to
I'd grab the moon, I'd steal a fortune
If you asked me to
I'd deny my homeland, I'd deny my friends
If you asked me to
They can laugh at me but I'd do anything
If you asked me to
If life eventually tears you apart from me
If you die and disappear far from me
I don't care, if you love me
Because I'll die too
We'll have eternity for us
Inside the universe's endless blue
In the sky, no more problems
My love, do you think we're in love?
God reunites lovers
Hope this helps 😘
Celines back!! Great video :)
The title of the song is essentially The Hymn of Love
Ode to love
This our celine 🇲🇫 we miss her , hi from France, i was in Paris , magistral !
She is singing Edith Piaf - Hymne à l’amour
French 1950's hit from Edith Piaf
@@D45VRof course, but you know what I mean.
An Angel. When an artist gives us his soul
You are part right the providence of Québec is a Canadian providence but you are right to say that it is 85%french poeples who speak french and i am one of Them living in Montréal just like Céline who grew Up in the town of Charlemagne just 10 min from Montréal ❤️
Yes, Britt, I was very moved.❤
You may want to her singing "Because You Loved Me."
The studio video with the movie clips is so powerful by her.
Le ciel bleu sur nous peut s'effondrer
Et la Terre peut bien s'écrouler
Peu m'importe si tu m'aimes
Je me fous du monde entier
Tant qu'l'amour innondera mes matins
Tant qu'mon corps frémira sous tes mains
Peu m'importe les problèmes
Mon amour, puisque tu m'aimes
Mon amour, crois-tu qu'on s'aime?
Dieu réunit ceux qui s'aiment
------------------
The blue sky over us may well collapse
And the earth may well collapse
I don't care if you love me
I don't care about the world
As long as love floods my mornings
As long as my body trembles under your hands
I don't care about problems
My love, if you love me
I'd go to the ends of the earth
I'd have my hair dyed blonde
If you asked me
I'd go for the moon
I'd steal the fortune
If you asked me
I would deny my country
I would deny my friends
If you asked me
I'd be laughed at
I would do anything
If you asked me
If one day life takes you away from me
If you die, may you be far from me
I don't care if you love me
Because I would die too
We'll have eternity to ourselves
In the blue of all immensity
In the sky, no more problems
My love, do you think we love each other?
God brings together those who love each other
Celine for the WIN!!!!!!!!
Queen is back
Celine has changed that song to a prayer. God bless her
Canadian province: French is main language in province and there is a special bond between France and Quebec. Celine sounded wonderful. My favorite Edith Piaf song: Non, je ne regrette rien {No, I regret nothing]
I like how she incorporate a bit of Edith Piaf in her voice, it's all wanted, nothing to do with her disease. An incredible performance.
Opened more hearts than any artist ever on earth!!!
🙌🌟😇📯⚡️✨️👑🌞🤗⭐️🌝🎗💫🏅🟡😇🙌🔥⚡️⚡️📯🫠🌞🤗💛💛💛🤪😘🤪🎗💛💛💛💛💛💛💛⭐️⚡️✨️🌟😇
I don't think there has been a versatile voice like Céline. I am always proud of a fellow Canadian and pray she keeps healing. I also don't begrudge artists that make it big. It is not given to them and they put the work in to get where they are.
She also sang this at the AMA’s after the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks
Dress is/was hand beaded from the House of Dior
Shes tied up there. Shes not falling.
I met Celinebe before she learned English, there were some fans in the crowd, and she knew me from photos I had taken of Montreal performers, she was so good, I could not believe it. Then big times!!
Celine is magnificent 😊

)Her most iconic event prior to these Olympics took place in Quebec City when Celine went on stage for the first time with her childhood idol, GInette Reno.
Yes you are right.. she is from the province of Quebec.. and I really think you should have finished the documentary before watching this. I say this.. because it would have even more of an impact on you if you did! lol I know... you already have been impacted.. but my gosh .. that documentary.. really leaves no page left unwritten. Then you see this.. and well... I wept all the way through her Olympic performance. Also.. the announcer... was sitting right beside Kelly Clarkson... and he was asking her as a world performer... her thoughts... but she couldn't speak.. as she was choked up and crying.. and the person who uploaded that vid.. cut the video right when he asked her.. but you can see clips of Kelly's response.. it was so endearing. Fantastic reaction Britt! Keep up the great content. Cheers from Ontario, Canada ☺🍁
She’s signing ode to love from Edith Piaf. She’s a French signer from the 50’s. you need to watch the documentary till the end because he end is gut wrenching, you’ll see.
I’m from Quebec myself, and she’s from a town called Charlemagne. This town is literally next to mine. The is a street called by her name in Charlemagne. She’s the real deal and we feel connected to her because of her amazing generosity and personality.
Thank you for your reaction.
It's a dress from The french stylist store, Dior !!
The song is a french song sang many years ago by Edth Piaf !
No, no regrets
No, I will have no regrets
All the things that went wrong
For at last I have learned to be strong
No, no regrets
No, I will have no regrets
For the grief doesn't last
It is gone, I've forgotten the past
And the memories I had
I no longer desire
Both the good and the bad
I have flung in a fire
And I feel in my heart
That the seed has been sown
It is something quite new
It's like nothing I've known
No, no regrets
No, I will have no regrets
All the things that went wrong
For at last I have learned to be strong
No, no regrets
No, I will have no regrets
For the seed that is new
It's the love
That is growing for you
Hi, one of the most beautiful love songs in the world, this song written and sung by Edith Piaf in 1950... after her husband Marcel Cerdan (boxing world champion) died in a plane crash
