Huge shout to Chris and Tommy. Their excellence service and customer care to the tanks are phenomenal. It's just not scrubbing the glass and water changes people. In this case, the customer's new tank from Red Sea is spectacular. It's so complete, compact, stronger and larger. Tommy, again did his legendary creative scaping and it's awesome. Chris, you got everything safely back into their new home and they look so happy. That puffer is a cutey. Looking forward to the next visits to see how the corals are doing and to see what you add. Thanks for another awesome video.
This is a constant problem with Red Sea aquariums. I am very concerned about my reefer 170 but considering how small it is I’m hoping it will be fine🤞. It seems to be just the larger ones that have problems
The 170s are good knock on wood because I have one. It’s the 250 and up that had issues. Sucks anyone has to go through this and regardless of tank brands it can happen to anyone. My buddy just emptied his IM 75 EXT because a worm dug into the silicone and created a hole.
I hear a lot of stories with bad seams of the red sea aquariums.... Not sure what's all about it, I could imagine they had a "bad batch" but not sure about that anymore.
What they need to do is add a Euro style brace around the bottom on the inside of the tank. I would take a 1/4 inch wide seem at the bottom if it gave me piece of mind that the tank would last. It would help keep anything away from the actual seal for the front and bottom and add even more strength.
Really nice aquascape in that set up! It would look amazing with some plating grafted montipora. Such a shame that those Red Sea Gen1 tanks don't last 3+ years. I bought a Gen 1 Version 3 Red Sea 350 on clearance from them last year & the seams on that are reinforced but I probably won't be going with that brand on my next upgrade. Small comment on your videos: you should work on how you capture audio! The audio quality of your voice is a little inconsistent throughout. Love the content though!
i dont understand LOL They have an issue with a red sea tank and want to order ANOTHER ONE ?! WHAT? LOL Just get a acrylic and call it a day. I love the fact something can accidently hit my tank and it wont explode. Its just me but im not a fan of setting up glass tanks over 40 gallons. Luckily they caught it and it didnt cost them a new floor. good video!
A ton of problems with red sea. A local reefer tank seams just did the same thing. Not to mention they dont have replacement tanks making the entire unit trash. What a bust.
I’ve seen so many negative things about red seas seals on any of their aquariums. Seems like I’d stay away from them entirely until they get a tank that is done properly
I personally would never buy another tank from a manufacturer that delivered a tank which only lasted 3 years . I see so many people having issues with RedSea tanks and yet the first thing they do is buy another one. WHY?? There are other companies out there...
Yet another red sea failure. This is why im scared to own a red sea tank. I've personally known 5 people in my local reef club that woke up to water all over the floor and dead livestock from a red sea seem break. Seems like red sea knows after 3 years the tanks are junk. I see a lot of them break right after the 3 year mark.
I wouldn’t have bothered to purchase another Redsea tank with a company with known issues and not standing behind their product. Let alone what they charge for the setups…
Nice name….. I also have had friends with this Red Sea curse. After getting glass cut for me and making my first aquarium I will never go back. First time was terrifying! Not enough how to videos online but a good glass shop will usually have some great tips. Maybe I will film my next project;)

I haven’t seen this with the smaller tanks. I think you’re right it’s only the bigger ones.
Agree there tanks older ones are shot. U can’t reseal that old tank??

Unfortunately Red Sea tank known for seal issue. Sad for a beautiful and expensive tank. Hopefully the new ones hold up. 👍

The corals are frags. If they are lost easily replaced. I’m not sure I would even trust RedSea again regardless of price or newer model. GL.

I prefer acrylic but it gets $$$ and this new tank is built much better than the previous models.
That’s what I did. After my Red Sea flooded I went straight acrylic! You could never pay me to put a RS in my house again!
What is the big dead crab looking thing at the 8:00 mark?
Pithos crab. Its not dead just molted.
This happened to me! Flooded my house 112 gallons. Heavily documented on my instagram. Thanks for sharing!
Sorry to hear that
Are these a problem in the red sea reefer 350

Oh no! Love watching a day in the life of :)
How long did it take, to construct the new tank and stand?
Bout 2 hrs. It’s important to get the level right. Hard part was lifting the tank onto the stand 😑
It's crazy i just saw a fb post about someone mentioning this issue
Far too many RedSea tanks failing...feel sorry for those reefkeepers.

The rimless tanks are relatively new so it’ll take time to perfect it.
Great job
They need to be held accountable for poor quality
Another one, I'll save this video if it gets deleted again
🤞

The tanks are getting better and they offered a nice discount.
What kind of puffer is that??
Green spotted
@@aquariumservicetech2891 Awe man they must have slowly acclimated it to salt water

Although they won’t admit it I believe that’s why the new tanks are built thicker and come with aluminum stands instead of just the compressed wood.
👏👏👏👏

They did give a nice discount
They can buy the tank at Custume Aquariums. Give them the dimensions. Boom problem solved
And another one, this is the 7th Red Sea video like this in the past year! (that I have seen)
Wow
Always red sea 😂
I have high hopes for the new one though

Red sea aka dead sea
