Really glad y’all liked this one. This song is from his 3rd album, and it’s one of those you can just put it on and let it play… everything on it is good.
He is a songwriter, artist, and musician, playing bass, keys, dulcimer, and mandolin, as well as that luscious guitar you heard. He’s written movie scores and played on dozens of other artists’ records. He’s also the producer, manager and co-writer for the band Lifehouse. He has a new album, Coolerator, with some blues/rock covers and new material that sounds like it’s from the ‘50s. He’s one of the best artists you’ve never heard of..

"Baby It's Tonight" was the song that got him on my radar 30+ years ago.
Start The Car was in response to his moving to LA and a real estate agent showing them houses that were way beyond their financial grasp at the time. That was according to the interview he did back then on KMOD in Tulsa .

Jude Cole should've been much more well known than he was. The man was incredibly talented. This whole CD is amazing, every song is great.
The title track "Worlds Apart" is one pf my favorite songs ever. It can played repeatedly, and never get old.
Tell The Truth from that same record is awesome. Jude has produced many records for other people. He is the real deal. Also plays most of the guitar parts on his records.
This song was basically my childhood. My dad loved it. It still slaps now, decades on.

The great Billy Payne on piano and Sass Jordan singing backup. This song is the most underrated song in rock history. This entire album is a winner with not a bad song on it.
This vid is a year old so I'm hoping you guys did more off this lp. Open Road, First Your Money, Tell the Truth, and Just Another Night are just four great ones off of it.

Like Richard Marx, Jude Cole was born and raised in Illinois. He has 2 kids. Jude Cole was married to Lori Pfeiffer, younger sister of Michelle.
I like the song!😃Start the Car is 1 of his rock songs. Unfortunately, the timing for the song and the album was off: grunge rose and rock like what Jude Cole had did not gain much in the Billboard Charts.

Killer album, Baby It's Tonight was the big hit on this but my fav is Tell The Truth a must listen. Every tune is worth a listen!
