Ok you guys… massive respect to all those who make lots of tutorials because it’s SO hard! 😭 lol I reshot and re-recorded parts of this video so many times and I hope that it turned out ok! Posing and animating is a messy and confusing world as you can see but I really hope this taught you some cool tips!! ❤️
I always knew you did a lot of work to bring us these extraordinary series, but just wow so much thought work and time goes into bringing the series alive. I truly adore your dedication. Also hurry up and pay them asylum bills before the repo man take our precious pose boxes lol. Thanks so much for all you do
Aw thank you so much Indy for this sweet comment!! 🥰 LOL yes the last thing we need is the repo man stealing all our pose boxes, how are we gonna get anything done!!
6:32 Not sure which is creepier: this or Whitney's red eyes lol Even though I don't plan on doing machinimas, it was still very fun to watch. Amazing how much you can do with these!
LOVED the video! I learnt a lot from it.😍😍 I'm really lazy with my stories as I put more effort into the writing than the poses, and I think I need to make my faces a lot more realistic so it makes sense with the text alongside it!
Omg cool, I’ve never tried machinimas in sims 4! You should definitely try out machinimas in sims 2, the in-game animations are so detailed and beautiful it’s so fun to experiment! Thank you for watching! ❤️
this was wild, true dedication to craft, but also i'd live a video where you did the poses/animations without all the nudge adjustments, would be so unhinged
Hello! This is like watching a behind the scenes. 😊 it makes me notice all the work you do and time and dedication you give to your videos. Thank you very much! 💜
Thank you so so much for making this. I made the first episode of my series and god it was hard. Thanks for teaching me the free will stuff! I have not shared it yet because wanna make the first 5 episodes before releasing.
hiiii bunny !! I'm learning how to put DECO food on sims hand and they talking at the same time , but the objects keep disappearing on the hand..... I'm so confused , how to fix this.. Pls help , I just played sims back for 2 months so I have to start learning alots for anim and hack animation for machinima
Hi moonkute! Hmm I know what you mean, unfortunately I think unless the deco food is an *accessory* then the sim won't actually stay holding it in their hand. In decorgal's prop hack there is a coffee cup and two different kinds of wine glasses they can hold. On my posebox pinterest board linked in the description I also have an accessory red party cup they can hold. Unfortunately these are the only food props that I know of. The only other thing I can think of you can try is if the sim is actually eating/drinking an in game food or drink you could try: 1. put a talking overlay on the sim when they are standing right near where the food or drink is. 2. then click the food and tell them to eat/drink it. If you use a talking-only overlay that has no crazy arm movements this miiight work, but I am not sure! Posing sims with props can definitely be tricky! I am sorry if these ideas aren't helpful, I have definitely experienced objects disappearing from sims hands before.
@@antisocialbunbunoh hello bunny ! I sat on pc and tried to figure it out for 30 mins and it works for me ...! I need two sims sit together on a bench/chair then they will talk automatically, then with move object on , I make the ice cream on their hands and yeah the ice cream stays for now , wooohooo ! I'm super happy 😅 ... there are so many many pose box and anim box I need to learn again after 12 years .. 😂 , I took a break for sims 2 too long ... so I remember nothing about the hack/anim tricks ... Watching your tutorial is very helpful thanks so much for your video
@@moonkute93 oh yay I’m so glad it worked!! 🤗 I am going to try your technique of putting the food in their hands after they start talking too, thanks for the tip! I’m so glad the tutorial was helpful!

Really fun video! I love seeing these technical behind-the-scenes sort of things, even if it's not something I do in my gameplay. Still very interesting to see how you make your amazing videos!
This was awesome, so interesting to see how you use these tools!!! ⭐Some of these I use too in the same way for the same reasons, but there were a lot of differences too. Really fascinating! I like using a lot of "body part specific" poses - especially in scenes where sims are sitting down. It's so much nicer to use the talking hack animations (sometimes blended with the sitting ones), allowing their upper bodies to move while the legs are still. Game changer! I've never run into that issue with the Simblender summoned sims not being able to use certain boxes... that's odd 🤔Idle animations are the bane of my existence though 😂As are the sudden snake-eyes when the sims blink. And OMG that Repoman pop-up was so relatable too. Another cheat I love using in game for scenes like this is the "slowmotion #" cheat (I normally go for 3 or 4). Saves time on editing if you otherwise would spend time adjusting the speed of the clips. Thank you so much for making this, I really loved it ❤
that's so weird that the sim blender doesn't do that for you! i wonder if I have something that somehow conflicts i have no idea... Hmm I should try mixing the sitting and standing animations together I've actually never tried that I don't think! and lol I know idles are soooo annoying sometimes but I can't bear to get mods that disable them because sometimes they combine perfectly with a shot and I'm like ooh I'm glad they did that haha. Also I totally forgot that slow motion cheat existed!! I have to try it sometime. Thanks for watching Ani, so glad you liked it!! 😁
Great tutorial! I've been doing machinima for years but was still able to take away a lot of great nuggets from this video. One thing I still struggle with in posing sims is feeling like the poses can be too stiff and lifeless so I'm always looking for ways to improve that. One tip for you for toning down facial expressions is that if you use Decorgal's personal hacks or the model overlay hacks, you can overlay the Neutral (or another) facial expression or use Standing > Breathe or Chair Talk > Sitting Breathe to overlay a neutral facial expression or body position on your sims. This is a great way to tone down the exaggerated Maxis animations without making sims appear too stiff. I can send you the Decorgal's Personal Hacks if you don't have them since her site is down now.
yay I'm so happy a fellow machinima creator was still able to learn something new! I have never thought of layering the sitting/standing breathe like that, that is so smart!! I have decorgal's prop hack, talk standing, talk sitting, and model poses (all the ones that are available at mts I think are the only decorgal stuff I have). If there's any other than those I don't have them and would love to! :)
@@antisocialbunbun I can email them to you if you like. Decorgal also has a video still on her TH-cam channel showing how to layer the breathing and standing anims over the other animations to make them subdued. The Personal Hacks aren't on MTS. They were hosted on her site only but it's gone down now.
Hello! where did you get the red box of facial expressions? because I have a box like that in black, but the sims don't talk when I give them a facial expression
hi! i apologize, I had forgotten to link it on my pinterest in the description. It's yare's edit of decorgals faes hack enabled for children, and I linked it in the description for you. The only thing is be sure you are using a medium priority animation box like the ones I show in this video in the second half, otherwise the sims will not move their mouths when they have faces from the red box overlayed. I linked another box below it that I haven't tried yet but that also lets you add the decorgal faces, I'm not sure if that one will let the mouths animate more easily but you could try it.
hi, apologies i thought it was part of theonlyexception's high priority set of maypink's poseboxes linked on my pinterest, but you made me realize it's not! it's actually another maypink posebox called "glasses." I put a link to maypink's simfileshare archive in the description for you, the box is in there!
Okay completely unrelated to posing for pictures and stuff but... could that Nudge box be used to immobilize a Sim's limb so that it looks like it's in a cast/broken? I mean I guess that could work for pics too, but it'd be so cool for medieval gameplay...
I def think it could work! I know there are cast accessories I’ve seen before. Without testing, off the top of my head I would suggest deedee’s arm overlay box because she has options to put the arm behind the back. Maybe if you did that and then nudged the elbow outwards so it was in front of the body it would look like a cast pose. It depends on whether deedee’s box is high priority how immobilized the arm would be and I don’t remember the priority off the top of my head. Another good box to try would be decorgals prop hack bc it comes with a lot of preset arm poses for like holding different props and maybe ones for holding drink trays or something would be easy to tweak to look like a good cast pose.
