Thank u so much for showing me how to do this! I'm a single mom with 2 kids and I told my landlord our receiver isn't working. That was 6 weeks ago. 😡 He finally sent someone over today April 19th, 2024 and he said I'm here to reprogram your garage! I said I've tried that it's the receiver! Of course he thinks I'm stupid being a woman so he went ahead trying to reprogram it. 15 minutes later he knocks on my door and says "mam u need a new receiver." 🤬 Yep that's what I said! I'm not waiting another 6 weeks, so I ordered a new one and just finished installing it myself! I am so proud! Now I'm sending the bill to my landlord! Love your channel!
Your video was very helpful. The only suggestion that I would make to you, and all DIY youtubers, is try to cut down on the anecdotes in order to keep the video as short and informative as possible. I love that you time lapsed the part where you remove and reinstall the cover and skip the part where you plug it in and go grab the transmitter. I will definitely look you up before watching any other DIY when I need to learn how to fix something. Thank you for the video!
Why don’t you make a damn video on this then?!
@johnhellenberg253 Bro, this is his video, not yours. He can include whatever anecdotes that he wants. He if wants to tell us about the peanut butter and jelly sandwich that he made right before recording, then more power to him!! 🙌🏻🫡😂
I was just trying to be helpful. I thought this creator had a good video and want to help him maximize his subscribers. I hope honest people can give me constructive feedback too so I can be better at things.
good catch trouble shooting on the rf issue. halogen, florescent (cfl) and early cheap led bulbs used in the motor head unit also messed with the receiver. swapping out to a standard light bulb (Incandescent) always resolved the issue with erratic garage door opening or closing if the board didn't already get fried.
Thanks! Very helpful.
Can you please explain again about why in your case, the receiver board went bad? I have a Genie garage opener (model: Model CM7600IC/A) which recently the "learn button" stopped working. I was shocked to learn from your video as you mentioned that CFL (Compact Fluorescent) bulb may cause interference between the remote and the logic board. In this case, should I replace the light bulbs to LED bulbs right away? Thanks!
Are there DIP switches inside the motor housing so I can see if they match up with the DIP switches on the remote? I dropped it and it opened up. In handling it, I may have changed a couple of the switches. Where do I find these switches? I took of the light cover and there is nothing. Are they on the back side, inside of a plastic box or do I need to unscrew something? Challenger 9300. Thanks
Where did you get the board?
How did you find a compatible circuit board
What make and model board did you buy and can you provide a link?
What is the web site that you got the board from? I need one for an older Blue Max model CM 7500 with a dip switch receiver.
Can you provide a link of where did you get the board from?
What is the website name
What was the website?
Where did you get the board do you have a link?
Did he ever respond to where to get the board?
The led bulb can affect your remote controls
Those LED bulbs are why the board burned out.
I can’t follow what’s going on. What is the gD solution?
Brother. He replaced the GD circuit board
