Great shave Lee. Thanks for the tip about TJ Max and Marshalls on carrying The Art of Shaving's products. I've got a mail call video going up here in a few minutes.
Good score on that soap! We have Winner's here, same kind of thing, once and a while we get some really cool soaps show up in there. Permasharps in the Karve man, really like that blade in there! Cheers
Perma Sharps kick ass! lol! I love those blades! My top 3 for sure. I think it was a good deal on the soap. Not the greatest performer, but for 13bucks, nit to bad. The bowl is worth that much haha
Nice shave Lee 👍👍 Sorry to here that you had a migraine. I got it time to time so i know how it feels. Hope you feel better. The razor is beautiful and the brush is realy nice. Have a great day and keep on rocking. 🤘😃🤘
Would you be willing to demonstrate where the balance point is on this karve razor, and call out the length of the handle? I have been looking at all of the videos I can find of the Christopher Bradley razor, but can't find any that visually show the balance point. I have been curious how the karve razor compares to the Gillette "the new" razor. Your preference for the karve, is quite an endorsement. I wonder how the Gillette would perform if it was used with the karve handle? The original Gillette handles are pretty light weight. I have heard that diet can impact migrane headaches. Supposedly, a high fat, low carbohydrate diet helps reduce the severity and frequency of them. I have also heard that supplementing with msm also reduces their severity and frequency. MSM is a blood thinner, a sulfur compound readily available at feed stores and equestrian supply houses. I take it for osteoarthritis. And, of course, as you say, stress in it's various forms is a key contributor to migranes. Simple lack of sleep, or poor quality sleep can be causative.
That's some really great info you gave me, thank you very much! i have never tried MSM, but have heard of it. Yes, diet can play big part. Looking back, I think it was combo of stress and lack of electrolytes. I follow a keto/carnivore diet and the body tends to flush more sodium. I'm usually really good about staying on top of that, but i think the recent increase in temp here has thrown everything off. I got some blood tests done and so far so good lol! Now, as far as the balance point of the Karve, that's a GREAT idea! I have the longer (4" I think) handle and it works well. I typically like the shorter handles like in the NEW. I did a comparison video of the these 2 razors. As good as the NEW is, I really do like the Karve. (Hope this helps: th-cam.com/video/CEysD15Lgc4/w-d-xo.html) I'll try to show the balance point in an upcoming video. Thanks for watching man, really appreciate the support. Hope you have a great weekend
Great Shave, Gnomeo. Yeah 50 bucks for any soap is way too much, for my cheap ol butt...LOL. I love me some Burlington, TJ Maxx, Ross and the rest of them "overstock and out of season type stores. Did I mention I'm cheap...LOL Have a good weekend.
Great shave brother .... I have never tried their soap but I do kind of like the cream I feel they are ok but I would never pay full price for any of their products
That was a good looking lather! I don’t think I’d pay $50 for it either considering my favourite artisan sells kickass soap for $22 lol. And man... Karve OC-B plate? I throw a Voskhod in there and that handles anything from 1 day to 7 days growth, easy BBS anytime, that razor ruined my desire to buy anything else.... I gotta get a SS version now. Thanks for the review my man, definitely great Info to not drop the cash hahaha.
Gnomeo Shaves I am hoping to get the SS version.... I’ll probably have to sell some stuff off to afford it, but no rush, as there is quite a backlog before they open the orders up again... and yes... you are partly responsible for me being addicted to the Karve, but I thank you for that! Absolutely love that razor.
I got a Geo Trumper in wooden bowl 10AUD it had been used once. I agree the wooden bowl it came in is worth more than $10 Your bargain would be the sane
Yeah, I have had 2 shaves with one and both shaves were just not right. I may try another blade but I have a feeling they're not for me. It's ok, there are plenty of other great blades out there for less cost hehe
Gnomeo Shaves i have found that the Gillette nacet blaze is absolutely a treat to use in my Karve razor I don’t have the open comb but I would assume it would be similar shave experience
Nice one buddy! Those blades are some of my favorites to use in my 34C. Almost 500 subs. . . fantastic brother, congratulations, you’ve earned it! I just hope your cheap ass doesn’t punk out on us again this time around! 😂 You owe us all a 250 sub giveaway & now a 500! 😜🤙🏼
A hard NOPE on AoS soaps. Once the formula changed from Tallow. Over priced, yes. Buy a airtight Rubbermaid bowl for 3.99. I will say the creams are better but for less you can get better performance from TOBS, D.R. Harris, etc...
To this day, that's probably the best soap I've used. It was even better than the original Valobra soap. I don't know how, but it was. You can still get them, but the Lavender one is hard to find.
Great deal! At $13 with that beautiful wooden bowl is awesome. Have a great week.
New sub here. Great shave 🪒 Love all the AOS products.
Very nice shaving Leroy,good weekend!
Thank you my friend! You as well
I got the same soap and deal. Haven’t used it yet. 👍🇺🇸
Don't expect to much my friend lol! I wouldn't pay full price lol! Let me know how it goes. You might have a better experience than me
Great shave Lee. Thanks for the tip about TJ Max and Marshalls on carrying The Art of Shaving's products. I've got a mail call video going up here in a few minutes.
Thanks brother! I'm trying to get to your videos lol! I'm so far behind :(
Good score on that soap! We have Winner's here, same kind of thing, once and a while we get some really cool soaps show up in there. Permasharps in the Karve man, really like that blade in there! Cheers

Great video man!
Great shave brother!!! TJ is a hour from me and they don’t have it but they always have different stuff every time I go.
Thank you my brother! TJ maxx's a fun place to check out once in a while.
Nice shave Lee
👍👍

🤘😃🤘
Thank you my friend! Sure hope you had a good weekend
Gnomeo Shaves
I surtenly did.
🤘😃🤘
I'm afraid to buy another Semogue Boar as the1305 is a love/hate relationship for me.
I got lucky! Some do find them floppy
What about it drives the hate part?

That was a hell of a deal right there....not a big fan of their lavender stuff, but I'd buy it for the bowl itself!!
Thanks bud! Yah, it was really hard to pass up. I really wish it was the Sandalwood, but I'm ok with Lavender :)
Great shave with bargain bowl
Thank you my brother!

Lol! Thanks brother

Thanks brother! And yup! I won't pay full price either. As much as I like their Sandalwood, it's to pricey for the level of performance.
Good thing is it's always has bundle discount I got my bergomant shave cream for 30 CAD under bundle offer
That was a good looking lather! I don’t think I’d pay $50 for it either considering my favourite artisan sells kickass soap for $22 lol. And man... Karve OC-B plate? Ahahahaha! You're getting the SS version? SWEET! haha (I am not responsible lol)! Thanks brother! I need to try a Perma Sharp in this razor next.

Good sale price you got on that.
Yeah, it was hard to pass up. Got a great bowl out of it too :)

I have a DR Harris in wooden bowl I for for 35 I think. Love that soap! So much better than AOS!!!!
AOS is ok but not as good as many others. Lathers easy if your in a hurry but so does Tabac or arko.
Fo Sho!!!
I’m not a big fan of bolzanos either brother to me they don’t feel sharp enough regardless of which razor I put it in
Yeah, I have had 2 shaves with one and both shaves were just not right. I may try another blade but I have a feeling they're not for me. It's ok, there are plenty of other great blades out there for less cost hehe

@@shaunsshaveden5643 those are good blades!

I'm I the only one who thinks the SS of the Karve doesn't look as nice as the brass?
Hmmm, I haven't thought about it honestly. But I think I'll agree with you

Agree 100% my friend!
I just got some D.R. Harris and while not artisan quality it's stuff I really enjoy using. Glad I picked it up.
To this day, that's probably the best soap I've used. It was even better than the original Valobra soap. I don't know how, but it was. You can still get them, but the Lavender one is hard to find.
Their stuff is overpriced...IMHO
