Disillusioned with the Jedi and slowly turns against them. And Maul because he's a murderer with unrelenting aggression and hatred in his fighting style. Much like how Anakin always fights with passion. Then you look at all three of these. All three of them use unrelenting offense as their fighting style. With them are defensive whatsoever and just attack with hatred or cockiness until you're dead. Hence why Obi-Wan beat three out of four of them, as he's the master of defense.
Hes also the only Sith Lord to actually control the darkside. He basically was in between the light and dark you could argue even though he declared himself a Sith.

Kylo may have been whiney but I feel his character was one of the most reasonable in the sequels, he was consistent throughout, the most unique and fleshed out of the new characters, and he had plenty of reason to be angry, his parents basically abandoned him to Luke who tried to kill him in his sleep, so he found a new role model (Vader) who he pretended to be and tried to live up to. The Jedi slaughtered more of his people. His ship then crashed killing all of his remaining friends even before that his partner died while fending off the invaders, which is why he changed his traditional name to Grievous. Back to the ship accident. Count Dooku wanted him to be the General of his droid Army and at first he said no as he dislikes droids immensely. By the end of the meeting he says he will think on it and departs with his comrades on his ship, which the Count rigged to blow, fatally wounded Grievous as Count Dooku planned. He then recovers Grievous’s barely alive body tells him the Jedi rigged the explosive, and gives him a “choice”, Dooku fits him with extreme cybernetics and makes him the General of the Separatist Army, avenging the death of many of his people, or he can die a lonely and painful death without ever getting revenge. Of course Grievous would choose the first option. While he does gets fitted with cybernetics capable of taking on Jedi, Dooku also messes with his brain, implanting cybernetics to increase his anger and aggression and also making him lose any empathy he had left. Dooku also tried to make Grievous force sensitive by injecting him with his own blood, hoping his body would accept the midichlorians so he and Grievous could overpower Sidious. Luckily for Sidious his body rejects them, making Dooku think of Grievous as a failed experiment. He is broken.
Probably one of my favorite things about Star Wars is how the villains always have some kind of tragedy or redeeming qualities to them besides a few exceptions, and that’s what makes character’s like Maul or Cade Bane so interesting, Maul’s basically been abused all his childhood, watched his brother die, lost his entire family, and was physically put through so much and Cade Bane if shown to be an actual decent guy despite his evil actions you could consider him an anti hero just because of his code and him taking Boba in as a kid

He may not do that much in Revenge of the Sith, but it's in the clone wars tv show where his heinousness truly shows. Therefore, Grievous is not broken in a single tiny incy wincy bit, and is 100% pure evil and proud of it.
