Partial shade above 95 Fahrenheit (35 Celsius)!! I never knew that trick. We are creeping towards the end of summer as I watch this, and our temps will be that high for another 30 days. Have had only one bloom all spring and summer long. The leaves are a healthy and robust green, the patio plant has actually grown, but hasn't bloomed. I'm going to try this for the remainder of the season, and see what happens.

my hibiscus is eight month old. It gave flowers in the beginning but now only green leaves are growing without any flower. By look growth looks good. Any suggestion.

Hello and thank you for the information. I need some help with my hibiscus plant. I bought this beautiful plant last Friday 8 days ago from a nursery and planted it in a big pot. After keeping the pot in full sun for two days I realized that the leaves are dropping and the plant looks a little sad. I immediately watered it and brought it in a patio where it gets 4-5 hrs of good light and then is in comfortable light until evening. It's been 8 days and the plant if still the same... Though it is flowering and I am watering it few leaves are turning yellow too. I think this may be a transplant shock but I surely don't know what to do. I tried scratching the stem and it's still green so looks like the plant is alive. Looking at the way I potted it, I have filled the soil till the top and seems like the center of the plant is elevated. Can you suggest any remedy? I am so sorry for the long post...
Hibiscus grows by cutting....so you need not worry the plant will recover from the shock in few days and new leaves will come...all the best👍

very nice info. great collection of hibiscus u have. enjoyed watching d lovely blooms. the hibiscus yellow flower with red centre has leaves which look a bit deformed they are curling inwards. l have d same one with d same problem. Any insights?
Hello, l love your videos and I want to thank you for them. I have a huge problem, two of my hibiscus plants, double petals, hardly bloom. They produce lots of buds which become yellow and fall off. You mentioned over-watering but l don't think so as l don't water them anymore since they are in the ground and are now medium trees. I have done everything l have read about including spray with soapy water but to no avail. Please help me

I thought that these plants get really big. Is a hibiscus plant different than a hibiscus bush? or are these bushes but still very little? And is there a such thing as a hibiscus tree? My double layered hibiscus buds always drops! The bud turns yellow just few days before blooming and drops (it has a clean cut in its stem just below the bud, which makes it look like someone cut it off but no) I don't know what to do !
