A year ago, I tried this design in SketchUp and failed to find how to make it! OMG I can’t believe you did this with few plugins. I will try this myself soon. Thank you so much for helpful tutorial videos! Btw, 01:08 DIVIDE is also a plugin?

No "Divide" is not a plugin it's sketchup feature.

How do you hide the rest of the model and only see the selection??
From here you can enable or disable this option. Top Menu bar > View > Component Edit > Hide Rest of Model
