SWISS CHARD cooked in 6 minutes

  • Cooked SWISS CHARD in 6 minutes. Easy to make. Healthy for YOU!! Recipe below...
    COOKED SWISS CHARD
    1 Large Bunch of Fresh SWISS CHARD, rinsed and pat dry
    2-3 teaspoons olive oil
    1 large clove of garlic, minced, optional
    Zest and Juice of 1 fresh lemon, optional
    Season with Salt & Pepper
    1. Rinse SWISS CHARD in cool water. Shake off excess water. Pat dry.
    2. Remove stems of SWISS CHARD from leaves. Cut stems into 1/4-inch pieces. Slice leaves into ribbons.
    3. In a large non-stick skillet, over medium-heat, add oil and stems. Cook for 2 minutes while stirring. Add garlic and lemon zest, optional. Cook for an additional 30 seconds.
    4. Add leaves and cook for 3-4 minutes. Continue stirring until leaves have cooked down.
    5. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice before serving, optional.

    Thank for your recipe. I also like to mix the greens I cook. I have mixed mustard, kale, collards, and chard greens together. Start with the chard by itself at first because it takes more time than do the others to cook. Added seasoning meat (or not) with garlic powder, onion powder and pepper salt and the like. Love ❤ from New Orleans.

      Thanks a million, Byron!! My best tip for making s'mores cupcakes is to add mini-marshmallow on top of the chocolate frosting and broil until lightly golden brown before sprinkling with crushed graham crackers!! ENJOY, my friend!! -Deronda :)
