3:28 I’m on my first playthrough of Dark Souls 2 and I’m ashamed I didn’t see that bonfire. Would’ve definitely saved me some time each time I had to get back there
I wasted hours too. You aren't alone. Eventually I did find it after an hour or two and I'm not even mad. I've been using bonfire ascetic this whole time and even though I just waste the bosses I still remember the fear and anticipation and sense of duty and that's why as a 27 yr ol dad I steal away to play these games.
Don't feel too bad, my first playthrough of this game back in 2014 I completely missed the first bonfire in Iron Keep because it's way off to the side. I thought the only bonfire in the entire area was the one in Belfry Sol 😅
Also, after you do this beat last giant and buy cat ring, drop to the gutter, kill the crystal lizard, free darknight stone, You can kill pursuer in the lost bastille for twinkling titanite too!
I decided to do this But instead of cleric i went sorcerer, and i also went and gathered 10k souls, to sell to the merchant hag That gave me serpent ring +1 for even more souls As soon as i got to heides tower, i killed all the stone knights, respawned them until they stayed dead, that gave me enough souls to get faith to 14, str to 5 because i had 3 and needed a parry sheild, and attunement to give 3 slots Before fighting the dragonrider, i went and killed the guardian dragon, got the watchdragon parma, then went to kill dragonrider Took a few trys because he wouldnt fall off the ledge, but im now a hexer
A minor bug improvement would be to get 12k and buy the branch of yore, which would automatically get you past 10k. You’ve probably already thought of it but I just wanted to say if you didn’t
Absolutely brutal trying to get Dragonrider to fall (kept yelling SINK as I rolled away), but finally got the hang of it and got it done. Ripping through the Forest like a hot knife through blood!
for those of you that dont want to kill that lady or the merchant or sacrafices the 2 souls or just dont want to sacrafice anything. then just kill the giant and then the purser then kill the dragon rider 2 times and you are good. you will have 15,000 souls left over after you level up
@@tharealchef2539 idk giant is pretty easy and pursuer too. I dont remember the last time i killed the pursuer without cheesing him with the giant crossbow.
Fetus X lol yup, verified. when i was in fofg helping as a summon, I parried him so many times, he was done for before he could recover that, and he’s stupidly easy to dodge.
You could also do a different Build with this method, Hex is just the most common. Just choose instead of Cleric for example Bandit and increase other the stats you want after you defeated the Dragonriders.
WOW I did not know I watched this 6 YEARS AGO. This was the first Souls game I played and I was struggling and I remember this helped me a lot. Now I've completed every soulsbourne game, 10x over. Why pick cleric? If you pick sorcerer you can save souls by not buying 2 extra levels. In addition to that, sorcerer starts with extra attunement points
diseaseofdeath1 Lower health and no mace probably. Base cleric stats (besides Att/Int/Fth) can carry you throw a lot of the game without dying. Sorcerer requires putting a lot of points into Str/Dex just to use a decent melee weapon.
Not only is your commentary hilarious but you were spot on 😂. Good video showing how to do this, but I disagree with some of this. First, sorcery is very useful because the Soul Arrows (all varieties) have about the same range of a normal arrow, and you can aim them a far distance with the binoculars. This has been very useful to me so far in DS2. Dark Orb does not have as much range as the Soul Arrows. That said, you're right that Cleric can survive the beginning of the game easier than Sorcerer. Since the Sorcerer's Staff is in the Forest of the Giants, I think it's a toss up whether to start as Cleric or Sorcerer. I do, again, think that Soul Arrows are important for range, and if you start as Sorcerer, you'll already have a Soul Arrow. I also think that the miracle Homeward, which the righteous "bitch" sells, is very useful for farming (among other times, of course), so I would at least buy that spell before killing her. I would also say, even after getting the Hexer's set, keep (at least) the gloves you had on from the armor merchant, as they give you 10% more souls with every kill (the most any of his set gives you).
It’s 2020 and i felt like making a new character but didn’t know what to play as then remebered this video from a few years ago. Still one of the best ds2 videos, helped me out way back when and right now. 👌

Thought that too but you'll be too weak as far as health and armor go, since claric starts with high states in that area.
Why though? More attunement is nice, but really no match for the Mace and extra health
Which you don't really need at all, since you are caster. You should be using spells not melee weapon and tanking hits.
