  • The seat cover on my Ducati Multistrada 1260 was looking a bit ragged, especially for only having 3k miles on it when I purchased it. After giving all the replacement seat options lots of thought (Sargent, Corbin, Various other cover options) I decided to go with the Volcano cover which I purchased directly from Volcano via their eBay store (link below). I used a Volcano cover on my Streetfighter 1098 and it turned out really well so I figured I'd give them another try.
Only tools I used were a screwdriver, small pliers, and electric staple gun which I purchased from Harbor Freight (link below). Full disclosure - Harbor Freight sells a more powerful, more expensive stapler for $99. If I do another cover at any point I'll probably buy it.
Volcano also has a website and an Etsy store, I just chose eBay because I shop there a lot for parts and wanted to keep it all localized.

I find that the pillion seat has 2 rubber bumpers that stains the dider's seat cover. I used an upholstery shop in Las Vegas to install a new cover with some memory foam in the cover.

I noticed that too when I was doing the work! The OEM seat cover seemed like a stain magnet too. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on those two spots over time. Will be interesting to see how the black fabric reacts to those rubber bumpers.

Nice vid. Seat looks way better than stock. How is the comfort side of it, any differance? I'm a '19 multi pikes leak owner...the seat is just ok, bit @ 3hrs of riding with proper butt prep...butt has had enuff. Lol

It's just slightly better. A little more cushion, plus the material makes it so I don't slide forward like I did on the stock cover (stock material was oddly slippery). If I had to do it over I'd probably add the gel insert they offer. That said, I just did a multi-day trip out to eastern Washington and it wasn't too bad.

How did you remove the two spacers for the nuts to go through when you screw the seat back on the bike? Thanks

@@tumolucky17 sounds like you might have the enduro version. Mine is a 1260s so I didn't have those spacers to deal with.
