Your complaints are justified and I appreciate hearing the spirit in your voice when you talk about people leaving their crap and trash in such a beautiful area (or anywhere else for that matter).
I wholeheartedly agree. Leaving garbage in these beautiful areas is disgusting, and shameful. It will lead to closures and higher maintenance fees, ruining it for others and endangering wildlife.
Sad people can't pick up their poop. Do they think forest fairies come and remove it once they leave? Just punishment would be a year of honeypot employment. 🤣

Thank you for taking us along and providing me with a source of inspiration. It makes me feel good to know you're out there in the van. I hope we cross paths one day

Can I just say, I appreciate how you're conservative with what you show. You respect boundaries and don't ruin it for the future, I like it a lot. Also, you didn't complain too much in this video-totally deserved!
I absolutely love the fact that you shifted your excitement from something material to having a life experience instead! We can all learn a lesson from you on that one. I find myself doing the same thing and I need to take a page from your book and shift my mode of thinking. Thank you for these gentle reminders of what is so much more important! Hello Mr. Forest. It’s disheartening to see the tribulations you deal with just trying to find parking. Your comment on the government wanting people to move into suburbs couldn’t be farther from the truth. I’m seriously considering moving into a van as despite being a skilled tradesman, I get absolutely murdered on taxes on top of home ownership and rent being well outside of my savings and investment goals. Working poor some would say :) This doesn’t get me down too much, I think I could benefit from the huge cost savings and mobility as I’m a glutton for mountain biking, hiking, skiing, hunting etc. Thanks for giving me more resolve towards my goal. Cheers!
I really appreciate your one minute chat on heaters in cold weather half way through. I have heard so much in the last 7 weeks since I started my research into possible van life. You settled me on a Diesel heater first and foremost. Thanks a bunch. I hope you are having a fabulous day today.🥰 Now to finish your program.🤩Holy cow!!! It really is best to watch to the end. Great dinner and then beautiful scenery on your adventurous hike. Awesome!!!!

Also, I hear you on the more recent issues with agencies closing down areas that were once open to boondock. I used to stay right on hebgen lake near west Yellowstone on the myriad of amazing dispersed camping spots only to find out this last summer that the city has basically banned all dispersed camping around the lake. Probably because they are forcing all the tourists to stay at paid campgrounds.
There is something so intriguing about these remote cabins where they are just there for the taking? Unbelievable. And this concept of just leaving your bike on the side of the trail and knowing it will be there when you get back. It's like you're on another planet.

I am clueless when it comes to mountain climbing, but there can't be many other climbers that have over 100 summits. Foresty has got to be near the top of the list!
One of my fav episodes yet. Cinematography keeps getting better and better. Haha yeah that sucks you can't show the good old days video from when you first started the van life. For those of us fans who have been with you a long time, a collaboration video of you from then till now would be an awesome throwback episode. Oh how far you have come. It was fun seeing you with the crockpot making recipes then progress to the air fryer. Was also an adventure seeing you make improvements on the old van, build up the new van, and continue to make adjustments to it even still to this day. It's really a good way to live vicariously through you and your lifestyle that many of us who live a city life would dream of having! Keep up the great work forest 😎 👍
No matter my mood, a Foresty Forest video always puts a smile on my face. It's really incredible and inspiring to see how far you've come. Can't wait for more adventures... and van life chronicles!
Thanks so much for 'taking us along ' Simon, it's the only way I'll ever see those amazing views! I have that rearview set up in my rig for a couple of months now and I'm impressed, good move to put the rear camera inside. Stay safe out there!!
If you can get a hold of a fabricator, you could build a baffle that would make your heater quiet. If you look up the guts of a silencer, with its baffles, that's something that would work. Also, putting some sound insulation around the whole pipe. You could quiet it down substantially by doing that. Source, that's how i made my 2 horse air pump motor quiet in a residential area. Used the shell of a truck oil filter, with a bunch of baffles inside (i copied Tesla's water valve concept for it) and i used steel wool to insulate a length of stainless pipe from the engine to the muffler. Works really well.
Dude. My mother living in Cochrane is going to set up a Toll Booth and pay you to park on her driveway! If I had a nickel every time she dropped your channel and name, I'd be buying a van myself. If you see a 78 year old coming your way with some fresh muffins, etc. you'll know your busted.
Humans in the wild will never fail to disappoint. I’ve been to no where since the ‘80s and the filth and disrespect I’ve seen from other “outdoors people” is stunning. Great looking dinner! Can’t beat Mexican cuisine and for a guy in your shoes the leftovers is a bonus round! Well done!
This guys has an excellent attitude and is so chill, I wish more people were like him in that aspect. Living the van life would be awesome despite the challenges it may bring. On the flip side people that abuse privilege and litter, ruin things for everyone. Less and less places are accessible because of those few bad apples 🍎 🍏 🍏 🍎 🍎 🍎 👃🏽 🍎 🍎 🍏 🍏 🍏 🍎 🍏🍎

Despite seeing lots of different van-life creators over the years, TH-cam decided to introduce me to you today. Thank you for being a responsible van-lifer.
Those look like Saskatoon berries, a small blueberry in AB? Lived there a while. A chilly overnight at Wolf Creek where even 4 sleeping bags and a warm husband couldn't keep me warm, cured me of van sleeping for the rest of my days. Nice to see you Foresty.
The sizzle sound at 18:00 make me happy. I went hiking today too! After work I hiked from Costco parking lot to Costco Food Court for the $1.50 soda/hotdog combo. $1.67 with tax.
We have plenty of Ding Dongs in BC here too. The Ding Dongs here burn down cabins, don't bury their poop 5 feet off the trail and leave nature's valley wrappers at the summit.
I remember there was a video from summer 2020 where you had come across a miner's cabin and thought it would be cool to fix it up and maybe use it for a base. Chrome now seems to have a shop in Nanaimo, Elsa Rhae and Barron seem to have bought land (I don't follow either closely). I think buying a piece of property would tie you down...you'd probably always be wanting to operate within a day's radius of the property. Based on the increased viewership during the van build, you'd probably get lots of views if you were fixing up a cabin in the woods that you could call home base and store excess toys. So I could go either way, but I think it's one thing to get a bigger van, and another thing to start setting roots. I think I'd prefer you to stick with the nomadic lifestyle. Although I hear ya, it is becoming harder and harder to access the front ranges with all the rules and fees.
Again some are doing it on purpose----they don't like Vanners and RV's and want to give us a bad image!!! Most nomads I've met respect nature and anyone with intelligence wouldn't litter???
FF, your videos are always amazing with beautiful rustic vistas, and hardy well cooked meals. Your love for the outdoors and enjoyment of life are palpable, so it felt equally hard hitting to have you blast the "ding-dongs" (man I love this phrase) for polluting, desecrating, and destroying the natural parks you cherish so callously. Here's hoping your message not only resonates, but is picked up and echoed via other van-lifers out there.
Good job, until the final summit I thought that was a mountain I could do haha!
We love you Steve!

I am clueless when it comes to mountain climbing, but there can't be many other climbers that have over 100 summits. Foresty has got to be near the top of the list!
This was the perfect episode. Van upgrades, current state of van life affairs and reviews, a meal, and a summit... Everything I subscribe for.
Preach on, brother! "Its public land, I own this too" means very different things to different people.
Nice avatar..!
Laid back Margaritaville..
He always makes pretty good looking simple meals 😋
Ha! Simon makes pretty good looking not-so-simple meals as well.
Can't wait to see your woodstove! Im betting on the Cubic Mini. :)
Haha - That’s awesome.
Well done!
You are just a master at campfire cooking! Total inspiration. #CampIngGoals
Those mountains are beautiful. Thank you for taking us along. Protect the forests.
Glad you're are still alive lol! I think that was the biggest gap in content ! I was getting worried.
This guys has an excellent attitude and is so chill, I wish more people were like him in that aspect. Living the van life would be awesome despite the challenges it may bring.
On the flip side people that abuse privilege and litter, ruin things for everyone. Less and less places are accessible because of those few bad apples 🍎 🍏 🍏 🍎

Glad to see you back on the fat bike. Your bikepacking videos are what brought me here a couple years ago. Amazing where a fat bike will take you!
Doug Duren... pro abortion activist.... I hope all of his deer test positive for CWD
doug duren might have said that but he wasnt the first. We used to" jokingly" say that about girls when we were kids 25+ years ago, she isnt yours its just your turn lmao

Despite seeing lots of different van-life creators over the years, TH-cam decided to introduce me to you today.
Thank you for being a responsible van-lifer.
Man people over complicate their life’s so much , this right here is a beautiful life , I’m happy for you 👍🏽
Those look like Saskatoon berries, a small blueberry in AB? Lived there a while. A chilly overnight at Wolf Creek where even 4 sleeping bags and a warm husband couldn't keep me warm, cured me of van sleeping for the rest of my days. Nice to see you Foresty.
Hopefully you will meet Michael further down the road and we can get an update on how he is.
The sizzle sound at 18:00 make me happy. I went hiking today too! After work I hiked from Costco parking lot to Costco Food Court for the $1.50 soda/hotdog combo. $1.67 with tax.
Breaks my heart whenever I see Mother Earth being abused it’s the only one we got!
Although I hear ya, it is becoming harder and harder to access the front ranges with all the rules and fees.
yeah Slim Potato bought a cabin/land too, guess more and more spots being ruined by grown up dingdongs are making it harder for the good vanlifers
Again some are doing it on purpose----they don't like Vanners and RV's and want to give us a bad image!!! Most nomads I've met respect nature and anyone with intelligence wouldn't litter???
Beautiful! My soul lives in the Rockies of Wyoming. One day I will make it back to find it again 😊
Foresty and brohx, 2 of the most humble people on TH-cam today, need more like these guys.
A huge THANK YOU for filming and editing and uploading. I love your channel. Love everything you do. Thank you for keeping it real and honest.
Thank you for bringing me along for the journey
God bless you
