Yes, there is significant visible difference when scanned through different scanners and an extreme difference when colour graded.. A 16 mm can be scanned upto 4K and 35 mm can be scanned upto 8K. But not all scanners support scanning in this resolution. That is one of the difference between low and high end scanners.
