CANDLES-
I found the glass for $5 at a local antique store.
To temper the glass, I heat a large pot of water and add the glass and slowly bring to low boil. I remove and let cool down.
I heat the candle wax to 185 degrees and add 15-20 drops essential oil of choice. I let the wax cool down to 140 before pouring into the glass (be very careful).
I add dried flowers of choice after the wax has had some time to harden, but still a bit soft on top. After 8-24 hrs the candles are ready to burn.
RESOURCES & FAVORITES-
GreenStalk Garden - Perfect for starting a garden with limited gardening space, or even just an extra planting area for plants you'd like to keep up and away from bug pressure. We LOVE ours and use it for herbs, lettuces, strawberries etc. I'm planning to get a few more, and they also make amazing gifts.
Use CODE 'RachelT10' for $10 off anything on the greenstalkgarden.com
Seeds- We use a lot of seeds from sowrightseeds.com and we have amazing luck with them. Everything from produce to flowers and herbs. Use CODE 'Rachel10' for 10% off their seed collection.
Herbal Academy - I've completed the introductory and intermediate courses. I received certifications upon completion. The intermediate course was extensive and took me several months to complete, but it was amazing! I still go to my text books often as a resource. CHECK OUT their selection of educational courses here: theherbalacademy.com/courses-...
RECIPES-
Homemade Meat Balls
1 lb Ground Turkey
3 Tablespoons Parmesan
1 Clove Garlic Grated
Fresh Herbs (I used fresh basil, oregano, thyme, parsley)
2 slices of bread chopped
Pinch Of Salt & Pepper
Bake at 375 until brown. Add to crock pot with marinara of choice and cook on low or high depending on serving time.
Toast sandwich bread with drizzled olive oil and dried Italian herbs.
Add Meatballs and marinara. Add Mozzarella, and broil on low until cheese is melted.
Add Parmesan.
Peach Popsicles-
2 Peaches Chopped
2 Cups Chamomile Tea (with 2-3 tablespoons honey added while hot)
Blend when the tea has cooled and add to Popsicle molds.

Hi, I am here from Noemi. Such beautiful content.
I found your channel through Naomi at Scandish Home. So happy I did. Love from Missouri
Thanks for stopping by! So happy to have you here!
I loved seeing how one of your summer days goes along. The pool reminded me of the one we had in our backyard as kids and fighting over who gets to skim the leaves. Your wild flower field is so beautiful and I can remember pressing flower's in books as a kid too. The chickens have deluxe accommodations and there's nothing cuter than baby chicks. I was wondering if you worried about hawks and other predator's when the chicken's are free ranging? I watch Farmhouse on Boone and she always has the most beautiful colored eggs on her counter. I hope the California cousin are coming for a visit. Thanks for a nice morning with you.
Thank you!! predators aren't as bad here so far, thank goodness. We will see over the next few years. Cousins are coming next week! xo
Have a great time!!!

Here from my lovely scandish home love u noemi

We have lots of ticks in the lawn. Any recommendations??? Love your cozy home videos ❤❤❤😊
Try the product Wondercide. It's helpful. They are seriously everywhere this year. I found one crawling on me this morning!!!!
@racheltalbott thank you!!! Me too, found one crawling on me. Ick
Hi Rachel! Loving the content as usual ❤ I just wanted to ask if you still do tiktok lives? I wasn't able to catch you lately...
Hey! I haven't in a minute, but I will try to do more soon!! xo
Maybe I will get those dryer balls instead of using dryer sheets as they seem to be much better for the environment :)
Hello, hello 🌼 I'm coming from Scandish home... love from Germany 🥰

Fringe suits you alot love from pakistan
Love your videos. When I feed the birds we get mice and field rats..any suggestions?
We are in Knoxville Tn
Rachel, I've always loved your videos!! Thanks for another great one :) I've noticed that you've been changing your thumbnails the last few videos, and the design isn't really resonating with the feel of your channel - perhaps return to your old thumbnail structure? But that's just my thoughts!
@@loomonda18 Yeh. I have a few options I've been experimenting with. Do you feel it's too young/ colorful? Bubbly? These are how I used to do my thumbnails back in the day, so I was experimenting with them again. I have a few options I've saved that I can switch to.
@@racheltalbottYes a bit too young feeling, imo - but I like the addition of text to the thumbnail so you get a sense of what the video is about. But perhaps adding the text without all the colour over top of the thumbnails, in a more neutral/white to make it feel more elevated? Just suggestions!
@@loomonda18 I will try some options. It’s challenging to get the font to pop.
@@racheltalbott For sure! Maybe adding a black/grey drop shadow or even putting the white text over top a black box, or vice versa - hope my suggestions were of some help!
@@loomonda18 for sure. Thanks for the suggestions
Do you use the tick repellent spray on your dogs or another natural form?
I give them a trio that the vet gives me for them to take. It's called Siamparica.
@@racheltalbott thank you. I was looking for a natural alternative.
@@kikiob3628 yeh. I wish all natural worked, but unfortunately with how bad tick disease and heart worm disease is out here in Tennessee, I have to give them the medication and also I use some natural options around the house too.
Noemi, sent me to see ur channel ...Hi 🌷
She's amazing!! Thank you for checking out my channel. So happy to have you here!
Am from kerala❤i love your vedio more then anyone🫂
Kisses from Miami !
regarding the video suggestion you asked for -3 to 4 videos but longer..smaller and just one video won't work :)
Please be sure to check if the essential oil you are using is good for dogs or other animals.
Absolutely. Question: do you have a source you suggest looking for accurate information on this? I can't seem to get a straight answer on which are safe and not safe, and I'm debating discontinuing use altogether because of all the misinformation. I certainly don't want to contribute to misinformation either. =(
Just came over from Noemi 😊 regarding essential oils, please choose carefully as many are very harmful to pets.
Thanks for stopping by. Absolutely. These two are considered safe for cats and dogs. =) xo
Please do not use EOs in the dryer, it is a fire hazard❤
Oh wow! I will have to research this. As I understood, a few drops on the dryer balls is ok. First I've heard this. Thanks for the heads up. I certainly don’t want any fire hazards!
@@racheltalbottyou might want to also research glass suitable for candles. I was super concerned to see thrifted glass used and am worried about them exploding around your family when the candles burn. Much like how not all glass is oven safe or microwave safe, a lot of glass is unsafe and unstable for direct heat/flame and could shatter. Please stay safe and happy.
@@_Jadot_ yeh. I did research that, and thick glass like these should be ok, but to be honest there are mixed opinions on both of these issues. The essential oils and the glass. Most of my research indicates that the flashpoint of the essential oil matters when it comes to the dryer, and a few drops shouldn’t cause a problem, however if there’s any concern it may be best to avoid altogether. I always turn my dryer off when I leave the house out of concern for a fire.
Tractor Supply 🙅♀️👎🏻
not a fan? lol
Washing rugs in a washing machine is absolutely wrong! 👎
Small area rugs? How do you wash them?
🥰Beautiful video! ❤ Is anyone watching chickens when they've outside? Please keep them safe!! Birds of prey are awful , hopefully, they're not around your property.
