Today I'm making some yummy recipes:
Peach Cake:
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup unsalted softened butter
1 cup sugar (half brown, half white)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs¼ cup sour cream room temperature
3 peaches pitted, peeled and sliced (or chopped )
Lemon Balm Pesto:
10-15 Leaves
1/4 Cup Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper To Taste
2 Tablespoons Parmesan
1 Tablespoon Pine Nuts
Juice Of A Lemon
Add:
Cold Pasta
Mozarella
Tomatoes

Love seeing all the ways you use your herbs - I never would have thought of lemon balm pesto, and I tend to forget about sun tea (I have early childhood memories of my mom making sun tea). I have some herbs growing on my porch, and I look forward to getting creative with them this summer. 😊

Sitting here with a lousy summer cold watching you and seeing how the homestead is doing. My favorite thing. That pool is going to be wonderful when it's scorching outside. I had one like that in our backyard as a kid so it brought back fond memories. The boys are growing up so fast and I can see they are thriving in your new home. Looking forward to seeing your garden grow and what you cook from it.

Hi rachel! My name is Amit. 4 years ago I was 15 and got ill in anorexia .. I was tired mentally and physically. One day TH-cam
recommended me one of your videos and I clicked. I was so inspired and wanted to do what you did. As I remember , in that video you made something from raspberry leaf and rosemary. So I walked to the river near my home where raspberry leaf are growing, actually at the time I confused and picked strawberry tree leaf instead . I also picked rosemary from my street and then came back home to trying to do what you did. My grandma asked me what am I was doing and honestly Im not even sure what I was doing but it was so fun and relaxing and in that day I discovered a new passion of mine. I started to learn about herbs and natural pharmacy, reading a lot of books, articles, doing a lot of experiments, trying and believing in what Im doing and honestly just enjoy the process ❤ I started to grow vegetables and fruits, going out to nature and enjoy simple living🌸 when I was 17 I started to learn in a herbalisem course in a collage near my home for almost 2 years and now I am studying bach flowers. All of this was and still big part of my healing journey so I felt like I really want to share my story with you, your one video was a lot to me and was like the seed to discover my passion for life again and to a journey of a Lifetime because Im actually in love😄❤️ thank you a lot! I really enjoying and learning from your contact. And now that Im almost twenty you inspire me to the woman I want to become 😊 sending love❤

Another really nice sunbrewed tea is the Yogi skin detox. I put in two tea bags and let sunbrew, refrigerate, serve over ice and a little honey (I love this in the summer afternoons while gardening or taking a walk)

I like to brush a bit of orange marmalade or apricot jam on my peach or pear cake right when it comes out of the oven. It gives it a really pretty and shiny look.

When does the school start again after the summer? We still have 3 weeks to go here in Norway before our summer break. But then we have about two months off. Most schools starte around 15-20th of august.

Curious to know what is the main source of income for you and Byron? How do you manage to do so much around the house 😊
We have several streams of income, as we both do multiple things. Social media and TH-cam are still a big source. We haven’t been as consistent as before, but we saved and invested a lot during the days when we were both doing very well on TH-cam, and also we are completely debt free (including the house) without any financial help from family etc, so we’re in a really comfortable spot-which we’re extremely thankful for. 🙏🏻

Great video! I use the no till method using cardboard and mulch on top. It smothers and kills weeds and grass here for me for a very long time. Would you consider doing this in your garden area?
Yup. That’s what I’m planning to do.
