I think it's a balance between getting value for what we pay into and people being part of the 'big society' and bringing together the community so we can all be proud of where we live. I absolutely understand what you're saying though. Although doing nothing, changes nothing. Potentially smaller actions shine a light on the issues and hopefully have a ripple effect to encourage broader solutions
