A LITTLE ABOUT-ME
- I'm Cambodian and Chinese.
- I was born in November of 1983 and raised in Houston, although my heart lays in between Houston and Hawaii.
- "OG KPOP STAN": I've always used the term "OG" (supposedly "original gangster") to define being old-school, and I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Kpop was my coping mechanism from the bullying I experienced in my younger years and it's just stuck by me ever since. Also! Just to be clear: me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" doesn't mean that anyone who's listened to kpop later than me is inferior. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time.😄
- I was a hiphop dancer for about 7 years. I did the whole crew thing, auditioning thing, competition thing, choreography thing, dance instructor thing, so I have some experience in that field and I hope to be able to share some perspective from my experiences for y'all to see the extra things that I appreciate about a video when I point them out.
- My videos can have quite a lot of cuts in editing and/or my eyes will unnaturally blink rapidly sometimes. This is because of my neurological disease that came with my lupus nephritis (posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome). My thinking abilities and speaking abilities struggle to align at times.
- Yes, that's Jack Sparrow's ring that I always wear in my videos. I've been a Pirates of the Caribbean fan ever since I rode the ride for the first time ever in Disneyland when I was a kid.🤓

red velvet has their red side which is more pop-y and lively (rookie, dumb dumb) and their velvet side which is more rnb, ballad, mellow sounding (bad boy, one of these nights). they sometimes combine both sides creating songs like psycho and peek a boo. they pull off both sides so well! hope you react to more red velvet songs and even their b sides because those are also all bops

I recommend to watch it from the beginning to the most recent. Red Velvet is a whole journey even if you watch it with no particular order they are very unique and are always doing something different they're very versatile and you will clearly see that when you start watching their mvs.
So far you've watched their "Velvet" side, which is their "mature, dark-ish, RnB-ish" side. They're also have the "Red" side, which is their "Cheer-ish, fun, and experimentally" side. On the Red side you'll found a lot of "weirdness" and "Impossible" things in terms of musicality and MV production, in other words, imagine how if Pablo Picasso write a music? Yes, full of absurdness. That's how amazing Red Velvet is.

Thanks for this! You are in for a treat if you will check out the Red Velvet discography. They are known for their vocals and concepts, and was crowned the best kpop idol group alive by Billboard in 2019. Their title tracks are amazing, and the b-sides contain gems that have harmonies and melodies that shouldn't mix well but do (Attaboy is my favorite).
This reaction made me remember when I first saw this video and how I finally fell in love with Red Velvet.

Joy is my favorite in Red Velvet and many people criticize her harshly which makes me sad. She is beautiful, has an amazing voice, and has been amazing in all the dramas I’ve seen her in. Red Velvet debuted in 2014 and is up for contract renewal this year so many fans are waiting anxiously for the outcome and whether they will remain as a group.
Joy was in We Got Married with Yook Sungjae from BTOB in 2015 and they were very cute together, although they both got a lot of disrespect from netizens because of it. Joy has been in several dramas and she really is a joy to watch both when performing and acting. I look forward to seeing your reactions to more Red Velvet content.
