    Yassss! A new addressable system test!
    Why not test the smoke on the multi sensor

    • @testlogs9005
      @testlogs9005  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      because it would involve me testing it at night with everyone home and really don't want to deal with that. I know the heat works thats good enough for me those rooms are always shut off at night anyways.

      scratch that just did :P. was cooking something that was quite smokey and wasnt paying attention to the time soon as it struck 11pm it went off ahha. so the smokes work fine.

    • @testlogs9005
      @testlogs9005  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah but it needs to conventional addressable devices won't work without a panel unless you can recreate a loop card and circuit that can speak what ever protocol it uses.

      everything in that part of the house has
      moved haha walls where moved for both rooms. that partition wall separating the living room from the utility was moved so that the kitchen units fit in. the bathroom wall was ripped out and rebuilt to accommodate a shower and cuboard.

      @@testlogs9005 Ok actually about 8 or 7 years ago we got are kitchen renovated there was the kitchen where there was a wall witch separated the back door and the entrance to under the stairs from the kitchen. So we got the wall knocked down and repainted the walls celling and put new tiles and new tiles for the wall a new oven, tumble dryer, dishwasher and a new fridge and we also got new drawers/cabinets and finally we made under the stars smaller

    Why did u choose to get a system like this I would like to know as I might get a system like this due to me having 3 fires in my life

    • @testlogs9005
      @testlogs9005  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just like to do things to the extreme sometimes. it adds way better protection than those shitty stand alone types. a domestic interconnected mains system would be sufficient in most cases. you could get an electrician or alarm company to give you a quote on an install if you have a risky lifestyle or are really paranoid. bear in mind it's not a cheap solution could run you into a few grand for installation and parts. just remember if you have a system like this not to become complacent and fully rely on it prevention is always the best way to protect life and property.

    Oh my god, I love those sounders. I need to get my hands on one even though I'm in the United States.

    • @testlogs9005
      @testlogs9005  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      you would need a panel to drive them unless you have compatible discovery/xp95 equipment over the pond. I am working on something to drive them solo but have to concentrate on this electronics degree first.

      @@testlogs9005 I own two addressable FireLite Alarms panels. I also own monitor modules, which will monitor for a short in any circuit. With this method, I should be able to wire a conventional call point up to the monitor module without any trouble.
      I've found some Roshni sounders as well and they should wire fine onto the Notification Appliance Circuit.

    • @testlogs9005
      @testlogs9005  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DerpyFireAlarms if your US systems use a voltage between 9v and 28v Roshni will work just fine as for any other UK alarm gear its pretty much all 24VDC. if you want a sounder that sounds very similar to the ones i have you can get apollo alarm sense sounders you can supply those with 24v and they will operate just fine, alarmsense is apollos the dual voltage system, makes it so that only two wires are needed for detection, sounders and strobes.

    • @testlogs9005
      @testlogs9005  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DerpyFireAlarmsFireAlarms forgot to mention you may need to mod a genuine UK call point to give you a direct short as they typically have resistors in series with the switch if your monitor doesn't require much current it should just work without issue if it has to power a relay coil then your mileage may vary.
