I love the legend of Zelda, I absolutely adored the fantasy genre. You really showed fantasy to me and of course Breath of the wild through music. It sounds so gentle and simply magnificent.
I need to tell you: This is my absolutely favorite soundtrack of yours. Not only because it was my first contact with your great music, it always reminds me of Breath of the Wild and all my feelings I have developed over the years for that Zelda Game. My favorite game up until always was Wind Waker because it also was my first The Legend of Zelda adventure. Twilight Princess overall is the best Zelda game ever created but when Breath of the Wild was released, I literally was breathless. I never enjoyed a Game as such as I enjoyed Botw. Now it became my favorite Zelda. I spend all the night hours for hours playing it. So your Soundtrack became also part of my life. I’m listening to it while I’m cooking, showering, cleaning up or now in the bus. When I listen to it and close my eyes I always see the whole game and the story. Your music tells the whole Story of Botw from the peaceful beginning which shows the awakening of Link and entering the vast land of Hyrule marked by ruins, to the threatening switch to Ganons theme which also shows what the whole game is about and your destiny to defeat the calamity to the insane epic end which also include Tears of the Kingdom’s theme which shows the hope you never lose during the entire adventure. Geez Benthoven, your music is the Journey we all had with the game. Thank you for creating such godlike masterpieces!! ❤️✨
Normally I avoid every kind of remixes, cause in my in my opinion they never can reach the spirit of the original ones. But your Remix was great. Beautiful work. Edit: and honestly I admire your feelings about the references you put in your remix, like the music part of the second “Botw 2” trailer 2021.
With remixes like these, I never try to make it sound better than the original. Remixes are called "remixes" for a reason. All I do is try to make it sound different when using the original melody.
Regardless of what songs may be in here, this was a great orchestration. The end was my favorite! Although, I am curious on why you didn't put the Champion's themes in here. Was it because they were in Heroes of the Calamity? Or was it for a musical reason. Great video!
My initial goal for this piece was to really focus on the music within the main part of the game. So that's why there was hints of Hateno, Kakariko, Stable, Hyrule Castle and even Korok Forest in it. Oh and of course the shrine theme.
