So many RV channels rave about BougeRV...but of course they were probably sponsored in some way by them. Glad to know about your issues BEFORE I plunk down a ton of money on possibly 1800w of panels with them!
Yeah I see a lot of channels talk about them! And you’re right, they may be sponsored or have a discount code. I heard good things about them but man, not my experience! Maybe go with Renogy or another brand.
This has been such a fun series to watch! I can't wait for the complete build! PS: I agree with you on the return shipping costs. It was their bad for advertising the incorrect thing, so having the customer pay for their mistake is a feelsbadman.
Real nice installation. The only unknown variable is any wind noise, vibration, or humming that could occur when you're driving the van in high speed. Hopefully the panels are nice and quiet.
More great editing, my friend. Sounds like a hassle and a half. I'm coming closer to finishing my Ford Transit Connect. Went with a 200W flex panel because it's just bloody hard to fit much onto that tiny roof. Nice work getting all 400 up there.
@@SweetPotatoTyler It can but too much contact with the roof can cause overheating supposedly. I actually mounted it via grommets onto a roof rack and glued corrugated plastic under it so that it never comes into direct contact with the roof.
Grandma here - great video. Will definitely not purchase my panels from BougeRV. What piddle-poor customer service. Speaks volumes for the company. Now checking out your framing video. Thanks for your excellent videos. Super helpful.
Hi Tyler, great video! Quick question: where can I learn all that you know about van conversion? Is there a school or can I work for someone who does this kind of work?
I am currently going thru the same issues with customer service. $500 for 2 panels damaged and they tried to give me 100.00. Agreed to 1 panel replacement and just deal with the other damaged panel. Told me that the panels are out of stock so still waiting but noticed not out of stock on the website. Pretty sure ill have to call to get the replacement. I will also be leaving bad reviews on customer service.
Amazing video! I hope you get your refund, might be worth it to reach out to your bank ( or PayPal they are really great for buyer protection online) and let them know that you didn’t receive a full refund. How much did you pay in total for the rack, Im wondering if I should do the same or buy a premade one on amazon
but where is the video of the completed van? lol i wanna seeeeeeee it so bad! 🤣
New video coming tomorrow!

I love the editing style of this video! Good job! And sorry about the crappy customer service! That’s the worst!
Thanks so much! I spend too much time editing so I appreciate the compliment 😊
Coming on nicely Tyler Durden. I have same van now as my old van was written off (UK)

Plan on gettin the same exact van. So will be paying close attention to the build.
We want updates! We want updates!
Good work bro I'd love to see where you're at with it now. About to purchase a connect of my own 😊
Great video Tyler 👏 Sounds like you learned a lot on this one. Sorry you didn’t get all your money back.
Thanks bro! Definitely an exhausting project 😅 and yeah it’s too bad but what can ya do 🤷🏻♂️
Do you have any questions or need advice about installing solar panels or DIY roof racks? I'm here to help!

Wow! A flex panel huh? Seems a bit easier to install than the rigid panels, it just sticks to the van, right?

Its pretty clear during the ordering process for the 300 watt solar panel the product image shows 3 100 watt solar panels.Thats on you.
Yeah they changed it on their website after I emailed them about it, I mentioned that in the video.
Wow, that whole ordeal even stressed me out!!

Wow, I don’t think I’ll ever shop with bougerv.
Any updates? 👀
New video coming probably tomorrow!
There is room for at least one more
Where? 😂
Nylon nuts on channels? Kind a defeats the purpose. Why didn’t you use the sliding nuts?
Just gotta slap dem bad bois on there.
We slapped a lotta things on there 😂

Yeah with all the hardware, the rack was somewhere around $300!
probably shouldn't drive fast with panels like that. gonna bend or break on the highway for sure.
I hope not!
Tabanaque what a nightmare with that solar panel company , good to know , I will never buy stuff from them ,
