    That house sounds amazing especially the backyard! :) AND you sound exactly like the lady I'd want to know - being a solo woman, a gardener and cook myself. ;) Thank you so much for this video!

      Big changes!! Italian is not too different from Spanish, so adapting to the language won't be too hard. And the government systems are just about as cumbersome....LOL!!

    How exciting! Everything about the house is perfect. I saw San Antonio Tlayacapan when I first visited the area and immediately liked it. I’m moving down in a few weeks with my pup and looking for a house to rent. I really hope I’ll be able to find something as nice. (PS - Fellow lover of color here, especially purple. Fingers crossed for your acquisition of the magical purple sofa!)

    I'm very happy to have just discovered your channel. Greatly appreciate all the info you have to offer; not the standard fare most people are offering. You've given me a lot of new insights about life in Chapala/Ajijic area. My first trip is coming up soon; I just listed my property for sale in So Cal so my plans will go accordingly. Blessings ~

    greeting once again. It's strange to see my previous comment from a year ago. Now I am in west Ajijic and just signed a lease today for a beautiful house in centro on Independencia. I'm giving myself 6 months to try out living lakeside and see if it's a good fit. I've only been here a week but it's proving to be an enlightening and fulfilling experience. Meeting a lot of expats; everyone has an interesting story. Namaste

    Looks great! Colours are similar to my old house (terra cotta tiles and grout with light walls). I had intended to paint it but after a few weeks I decided the neutral colour went really well with oak and pine furniture and I just left it alone. Live in it for a while and see how you feel once you pick some furnishings!

    • @anythingispossiblenow
      @anythingispossiblenow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe, but I would rather paint before furnishing. I live in a place with white walls now and it is so boring!!

    I hit send on my first comment before it was over... oopsies.... The first place is the one I wish I could afford... I probably could barely afford it, but I would literally have to grow all of my own food. Anyways the place you are getting is so perfect for you as well... I did really like the pet area and your idea of putting a few hens in there ... I will be in Mexico next week working on my residency... Hope it goes well.... maybe we will meet someday if I get my act together... haha... Oregon has been SO cold this Winter, even though I left twice for a month each time I am SO ready to leave again.

      It took me a long time and having connections to find my new place. It is EXTREMELY rare to find a place like this, but it is only 10,000 pesos/month and they cannot raise the rent more than 10% every year. Friends of friends knew I was looking for a place.

    Terra cotta floors and arched doorways!! If you have good water pressure you have it made😊❤️👍

    • @anythingispossiblenow
      @anythingispossiblenow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Getting that checked tomorrow. I bought a water filtration system that might not work if the pressure isn't good enough, but at least the tap water is apparently almost drinking quality in San Antonio!! Still need to filter it and have UV, but I don't want to deal with returning this unit to Amazon.

      @@anythingispossiblenow I think maybe the tap water is good enough here in La Floresta for washing vegetables, maybe even boiling rice and potatoes. Sure would love to know! 😊Your beautiful big palm will love the new yard!

    I plan to retire to the lake Chapala area in about 5 years .I also like quiet little towns around the lake and choose not to be around many expats .You say you're going to sign a 1 year lease so I'm thinking why spend money on new or used appliances if you plan to stay there for that short amount of time .Then you would have to worry about selling your items or take them with you if your next place is unfurnished/etc.I would only buy new furniture if I was planning to stay somewhere at least 5 years .But I understand many people just like having their own stuff.

    • @anythingispossiblenow
      @anythingispossiblenow  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just wanted to sign a 1 year lease to start with. I will sign a much longer lease when this one is due because I really love this house and this area. I figured that I would either stay at this house or buy a house and need all this stuff anyway. The last house was furnished and everything was really old and worn out....and even then the landlord made me pay for reupholstering all the furniture and tons of other little stuff just to upgrade his house. There is no recourse and I do not enjoy living in a place that I cannot make my own. Everybody has different needs and wants.

    • @anythingispossiblenow
      @anythingispossiblenow  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't actually remember what the first little house was being rented for, but it was quite a lot less than the house I was renting at $22,000 pesos/mo. Prices have gone up quite a bit in the past year and right now, it is high season, so good deals are harder to find.
