I didn't mean for this to become an Undertale Anniversary painting. I actually started this about 3 weeks ago give or take with the intention of getting it done much sooner. I ended up just taking my time and the anniversary just sorta snuck up on me haha. I finished this on the 15th, and I intended to post it that day, but unfortunately things got in the way. but hahah here we are!
So now that I am here and posting this speedpaint video. I've kinda gotten back up on my feet a bit since the rut Covid threw me in financially and emotionally/mentally. Been living in Bend Oregon since may and adjusting to the new house and the move (don't worry we are safe from the fires, it's just very smokey), a toxic roommate moved out, and that helped a lot! haha, and I've been feeling ready to get back into the swing of things and start painting again. This is my first painting since the Memory piece I did months ago, and if you guys are aware, I even took a big break before than because Covid put me in such a funk. I feel very rusty as my process is taking 4 times longer than I usually take on paintings. however, I feel like I've improved on quality ironically enough, so at least I didn't lose any of that. I'm just much slower to get things done now heh. So I guess the point is that I'm free from everything, and I have nothing else on my schedule blocking me from making youtube videos other than spending quality time with my bf, and I am very very happy and acclimated to this new lifestyle in Oregon and no conventions with covid. :) I don't think I'm going to post as often as I once did. I thought about posting bi-weekly, but now I'm not even sure considering the next painting idea I have is another really big one that might take longer than 2 weeks. so I'm just gonna post every time I have something finished. but minimum I'll be posting once a month, at the very very least. I have a habit of trying to bite off more than I can chew, and being as I feel like this is the first real time that I'm actually coming back to youtube since 2018 (honestly) with no studio work holding my youtube channel back, I want to take it slow. I may start posting more frequently once I feel comfortable, but for now, once a month seems like the perfect first step into getting back into youtube.
I really want to focus on Twitch. I've been streaming the progress of my paintings weekly and I do want to play some games on Twitch as well when I'm not drawing. There's a link at the top of the description but please give me a follow. I don't make "video announcements" when I'm live anymore, I put them under the community tab under my channel so I don't spam fake videos to you guys, so if you want to be up to date on my livestreams keep an eye out on that. I also tweet when I'm live. :) Just like my youtube, I haven't been playing DBFZ at all, but streaming I think will help me get back into DBFZ. I want to play other games too, so you will be seeing me much more active on Twitch with both art and gaming, than here on youtube. I hope to see you guys on Twitch :)

I'm glad you're free now and will get the chance to get used to the new life in Oregon! I hope you and your Bf have a wonderful time there away from all the chaos of Covid-19. @@SpectroliteAAA It's not a problem really! You can relax now so take the time you need and put effort into artwork you enjoy and are proud of! I get what art burn out feels like such as doing a lot of art assignments (but I don't mind, I enjoy it!). But yeah just take your time and slowly get back into the pace of things! You're an amazing artist that deserves all the time and patience that goes into your hard work, so do whatever you need, no matter how long it takes, you deserve it. ^w^

thanks!!! yeah it's really weird to not paint/draw for an extended period of time only to improve? cuz I really do feel like I've improved lol however I do feel the rust at the same time, hahah this took SOOOO long. like wowza! so long hhaha I'm usually a lot faster in my paintings, but this took like four times longer than it would have. but regardless I'd rather have improved quality over speed any day XD so it's fine.

Gosh, just seeing the shape of the textured brush you always use gives me such a sense of nostalgia since I’ve been watching your videos for so long. A few years ago, your art was pretty much the sole reason I really got into digital art. I’m glad you’re doin better nowadays! Take all the time you need dude, your art is beautiful and awesome and we’ll all always be here :)

The painting looks absolutely AMAZING! Like you said in the description, there is a definite improvement. I'd say that even if your channel isn't in the place you'd like it to be, it's better than having someone or something getting you down from what you want to do. I'm glad that you and many other people are adjusting to moves away from the fires. I plan on going on Twitch everyday now, so I'm glad that I can see you drawing sometime during the week as work piles up!

Howdy Spectrolite. I just wanted to say I've been watching your videos for a few years now and you've inspired me so much. Every time i watch one of your speedpaints it motivates me to not only draw but to push myself out of my comfort zone. I never try to draw anything with detailed backgrounds or try out new perspectives because I'm afraid it'll turn out weird, but I've been steadily getting better at it over the past few years and I'm now comfortable drawing stuff like that now. Idk if you'll see this comment but I just really wanted to thank you for being such a huge influence on me when it comes to my art. Much love.

Covid made me fall pretty hard, but knowing you guys were always there for me waiting at youtube, you guys helped me get back up. I fell pretty hard around Covid, and even before with studio work. It's really wonderful to see you again, and Im glad you are doing alot better, I completely understand the covid funk, I went through it as well for a while feeling completely unmotivated, and tired all the time. I wasn't myself and my mental health just plummeted but Im doing much better and Im glad you are as well. I can tell you went through alot, please take your time, and don't stress too much about it because we will always back around again haha 💕
