I like that you put the cat comfort first. Nothing says a happy cat more than the upright tail. Most tunnels that I have seen are that I was getting ideas from I now know were not tall enough.

@@OurCatioHome My cats have a temporary catio I set up 4 yrs ago using dog kennel fencing with mesh over top. This is on my deck so I did have a window made with a cat door. But my deck needs serious work so I look forward to a complete redesign with the cats in mind.

I know right! The only info. I could find out their was saying 16" but 24" is much better because it also gives them a feeling of not being cramped when another kitty passes them! Important for kitties not to feel trapped or cramped in tunnels or walkways. Thank you for sharing this information and how to's!

I would love to make tunnels for my babies, but the only thing stopping me is my vinyl fancy 15k fence..
n my ground is fully concrete
    My 2 cats are well
behaved.. they're content staying inside the yard with 5 ft fence, but my bengal tiger has to prove he can jump the tall fences n is an escape artist.
Once outside .. nope he don't listen to anyone.
    He's a free boy..
It's so hard to bring. Him back n to bring him back to his senses that he's not street smart!
    Yet!! 😂
N that he's an indoor cat!
I need ideas to jet them all go out n enjoy without having to worry.. since summer warm days are so limited in Canada! Thx

    • @OurCatioHome
      @OurCatioHome  ปีที่แล้ว

Hello Canada! I totally understand your dilemma, it's hard to give him a taste of the outside and then take it away. Regarding your tunnel dilemma, you could install a few new posts, in front of your fencing attaching them to footers on your concrete ground. I know it's not ideal but it's just a suggestion. We're not certified catio builders but that is the only thing that I can think of. Please keep us posted in terms of how things turn out..

@@OurCatioHome hi, thank you so much - that's something. I didn't think about.
What's the best netting that you can suggest, n where can we pick it up from or order it online.
I would really appreciate if you can please give me more of your suggestions n ideas, if you don't mind.
      Thank you kindly..

We use wire, not netting, the materials used are on the description. Hope that this helps.

Why not use a galvanized metal bracket.
