Hi. I have a pair of the LTs and a Trek rail. Got to be honest the bike and shoes have a lot more capability than I ever will. They are NOT waterproof but waterproof socks work well with them. Plus point is that the shoes are really easy to clean and dry quickly.

Waterproof shoes in itself does nothing in cycling , the rain will roll down your legs and into the shoe anyways ...so you need ta get waterproof pants and lop them OVER the shoes .

      I agree

Water does not get in to the goretex version of these shoes. MTB is not cycling ;) going tru some ponds etc you sometimes need to put your shoe down and those shoes never fail.

I love the 'nope, I am noping that' and the 'dont' go off the mountain, stay on the mountain' even more 🤣. I would probably be more off the bike then on it 😅.

Did you have any issues with the red seams at the gaiter loop at the front? I had to return pair due to this issue, it was impossible to wear with summer socks, as I was in agony, and skin was rubbed off.
I need size 44 for the width as I have 11 cm wide feet, but the gaiter is too roomy, but I ride with Space Brace 2 now so would be more snug I guess.
Are the LT more breathable than the Mid Pro? I saw a review where a guy claimed they were very breathable and see trough, as he described it, it seemed like the perfect mid summer shoes, and let dirt in, but the Mid Pro I dried were not, I barely felt any wind, even with a bit strong wind and chilly ride. So far most breathable riding shoes I've tried are Five Ten Freerider, but the mid sole is too flexy, the outer sole is too thin, they wear faster. Has anything changed? were my just an early model before changes, and they changed something without a new release?

Hey man, it's been 8months since this original review. Do you still feel pain from above the heal? I have the same issue with mine too so I have the low cut ones now.

I've avoided them for hiking and haven't had the issue since. I really do appreciate the gaiter. (ps this is going to be my mountainbike account)

The low cut is identical in the lower part where I experienced the (temporary) pinching :)

Hi Dieter, thank you for your review, I am currently wearing the Ladies Leatt MTB flats. They have a very flat and hard (not flexible) sole. Around 30-40 km I start getting extremely painful toes. I am currently training for stage races and in most cases, the distances are around 70-80 km which, as you can imagine, becomes a problem. Have you ever come across this problem? I was hoping that a shoe with a much higher insole at the arch will stop my toes from getting these terrible sharp and constant aches. I have tried to make mental notes of when it happens and it seems to be mostly when I have been cycling up hill for a while and then hit the downhills and have to lift my butt of the saddle. Still I'm not sure if it is my feet that are being irritated by my flats? my back that is pinching a nerve and when I stand it gets released? or if it is from long periods of time in the saddle and then a sudden flow of blood to my legs that causes the pain? Perhaps you have an opinion?

Uff I have read your comment multiple times and I find it very difficult to judge. It could be pretty much anything. It might be worth scheduling a meeting with a podologist that has some affinity with cycling.

"You don't goretex because it will steam your feet"
the entire point of breathable fabrics is that they're breathable, no?

It's a nice idea that mostly only works on paper or in really cold and wet places. I really wish it would work well... Unfortunately it's mainly a sales argument. I've spent a decade of my life guiding in mountains in all seasons and have learned to avoid membranes in footwear in mild to warm environments.
