I'm yoruba but my parents never taught me the language. I appreciate the work you do! You're videos are so helpful thank you
Thank you for watching. :)
"...but my parents never taught me the language." This kind of sentence is food for thought. Are parents naturally language teachers, or is everything entirely dependent on the child, the learner? Or the society? Who is to 'blame'? Should blaming even come into the equation? This aspect of language acquisition worries me.
LePredator1 I do agree with you. Though my mom doesn’t want Yoruba speaking that much but that doesn’t stop me from speaking it that I can even write Yoruba very well.
LePredator1 I agree with you but as well parents should at least teach their kids the language so they can be perfect in it. My paternal grandma was a Tapanian but never taught her kids her language and culture that we are culturally enstranged from that which is very awful and disgusting.
Same here never too late to learn 💜
A group of us in Philadelphia are making efforts to learn the language and culture and your videos are providing a wonderful foundation. A dupe pupo!
Thank you so much, sis. 💕
Your videos are so helpful. They help me learn yoruba very quickly. My parents don't teach me yourba . Thanks for your videos.
We have a new chef from Nigeria. My desire is to communicate with him in HIS language. I am greatful to find you!

I have a question for you. There is a song that I love so much by dj tunez. It's called My Love. I was told the language is yoruba. Is it? Just wondering. Thanks!
