Would it make a difference if you are talking to or about your husband/dads relatives. For example you said grandma is “Iya Mamma Mi”, would this change if it’s not your mum’s mum but instead your dad’s? I am Caribbean and I’m trying to teach myself and my children basic Yoruba as their dad can only understand it and not speak it.
Omo Aburo mi - My younger siblings child Omo Ebgon mi - My older siblings child Yoruba is not a gendered language so there is no distinction for nephew and niece. You would just specify if it's Obirin or Okunrin
Tomiwa Ade there is no direct word you could either call them egbon aburo or you would say 'omo egbon mama mi etc you would explain the relation Literally
