He's takes over a year to do a kitchen remodel. Probably told his wife it would only take a month. I've heard she's on the brink of divorce over the whole ordeal, I'm sure there's other stuff going on behind the scenes as well
I know I always thought that Ray was the really CUTE one with those Rosy cheeks and no disrespect but that little yard knome look, he was the quiet one, the humble one, yeah he will be missed, but things must change, and time needs to move on... if the problem is with the kitchen criticism than I would still go on anyway...many of us aren't in construction and can understand these problems that his kitchen has....it helps us that are going through the same thing....nothing good goes easy but the ending of the job has it's rewards....Also if this program is hurting a good friendship, I would call it quits....the show isn't worth loosing a good friend....we all will still go on......friends forever for you guys.....Thanks to both of you.....

Ray is a class act and a straight shooter. I'm sure the decision was given a great deal of thought and was not easy. But this may be a blessing in disguise. A bit of space and down-time off camera means Ray could make a guest appearance later on, on his terms, once his other project is wrapped up and he's feeling like his work-life schedule is more in-balance. I love Perkins because unlike most (all) the other shows, they show the entire build process. Having said that there just aren’t a lot of us setting out to build their own homes (I did and wished I’d seen a lot of things on Perkins before. You on the other hand show a lot of things that realistically a lot of the audience could do on their own. Focusing on that is going to grow your audience.
Damn gonna miss y'all together. Change is inevitable I guess. As long as everything and everybody is good that's all that matters. Sorry we missed this video until tonight and after we watched the next video. My wife and I like the new name for your channey. We are looking forward to seeing what you come up with. We are also going to miss Ray, the two of you kind of feed off each other. Hopefully you’ll get invited back to help with his house remodel. We enjoyed seeing the progress made and hear him call for “BECCA”. It was fun watching them work together and the two of you. Best of luck with your new adventure and have a Happy New Year.

Definitely going to miss Ray being on the channel. But Jay you definitely have my support. Can’t wait to see what you do with the channel. The wallpaper on my computer has been Ray Jay builder buddies for the last year. All of you are super awesome to watch. I look forward to seeing lots more episodes.
