This worked for me as well. I had bought three pairs of these for myself, my wife and son. All of them had the same issue. They are now working again! Thanks! Hopefully the new firmware update will prevent this problem from happening again... I just told the family to always keep the battery topped off and case always plugged in whenever possible. A heads up to anyone trying this. Dont explode the battery! I used 5volts-2amp. Within 20 seconds I could feel the battery getting hot. FYI
While this fix worked for my MTW3, the earbud still didn't hold a charge for long and the issue came back. I purchased a set of Varta CP1254-A4 70mAh Batteries from Ebay and replaced the failing battery in one earbud. It's not that hard, just de-solder the two contacts and carefully open the board on top. You might need to remove some black sticky reside covering the positive (+) connector and a barcode sticker on side of the battery. Be careful with the tiny ribbon cable underneath. Also, transfer the two tiny black rubber pads on the top and bottom of the old battery to the new one.
I suspect it is not possible because he is charging the battery directly and those connectors don't connect to the batteries directly. Instead those external connectors first connect to a chip that controls whether or not the LiPo battery is allowed to be charged or not, yet this chip itself needs electrical power to function. I am not sure what exactly is going on, but there is clearly a design flaw in the charging circuit of the earbuds. This also used to happen to me with the Creative Sound Blaster E5. The circuit does not allow this "gatekeeper" chip to receive external power, only battery power. So if the battery dies out completely, it gets stuck in an "unchargeable" state.
I'm not sure what you mean by other versions. I know that to pair the headphones with a new device you have to hold touche both buds. But one ( the one I repared) lost touche ability. So I can't put them into pair mode.

Sennheisers are garbage period! sent mine back ans since then have had to replace the buds 2times... I'd never waste my money on that garbage again.
Same I won't either🫡, very bad Design! tbh
It's work🎉 thank you
Can we just do the charging (+ to +, - to -) to the points without removing the earbud casing?

I did all the steps, it worked. Now it charges again. But touche control in this bud doesn't work any more, i can't pair it to devices. Idk what to do
Have you tried other versions Bluetooth?

Yes , it's worth it, because who knows you can fix your other electronics.
